Your Name and US Tax Identification Number combination does not appear to be valid as per IRS records Help

The error message is as follows:

"Your Name and US Tax Identification Number combination does not appear to be valid as per IRS records. Please make the necessary corrections by retaking the interview."

Any insights into what may have suddenly triggered this notice? I’m trying to investigate and conduct my own research but I’m reaching a dead end. Obviously, I wish to do everything under my control to avoid account deactivation so I've started a case (Case ID: 17548454021) and waiting for Amazon's response.

Can you please support me on how to solve this problem? I contacted Irs and they said that my information is correct. I cannot find where the error is coming from.

Hi @Seller_CYaZw36PU11al

I do see that support is working on this on their end. Sometimes the EIN mismatch can be due to a small type, space or capitalized lettering. Have you contacted the IRS to make sure the EIN they have is what you entered in our system?

Best,

Connor
