ungating brand problems

fairly new seller here. having some trouble ungating for a brand.

The first invoice i submitted i realized was not a final invoice, therefore it was denied. i reapplied with the correct invoice and now im getting immediately denied. iv applied multiple times hoping it will actually get reviewed with no luck.

is there anyway too have this actually reviewed? i know ungating is sort of an automated process . i would really like to sell this brand.

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

What is the brand? Many are restricting 3P sellers on Amazon.

its not a restricted brand on amazon

And you know this how??

Did you actually contact the BRAND to see if you could sell on Amazon?

You can't rely on "Others are selling it" as evidence that it's not restricted. They might be authorized by the brand. Or they might just have not been caught yet (look at all the Nike sellers; Nike specifically states they do not authorize anyone to sell their products here).

so if it doesn't say restricted when applying it can still be restricted?

There are two issues.

First is Amazon letting you list it. Amazon often assumes that you know what you are doing, and figures that if authorization is required, that you have it.

Second is the brand letting you sell. There are many brands (Nike is the most well known, but hundreds) that do NOT allow 3P sellers to list their items on Amazon. And then there are those that allow only a select group of 3P sellers to sell on Amazon. In many cases (and IMO, the way it should be), Amazon simply will block you from listing. But there are other times where Amazon will let you create the listing; then when the brand complains, will ask for proof that you are authorized to sell that product. This is where most people get in trouble.

I'll add that you stated you ordered "directly from the manufacturer". Did you create a wholesale account with the brand, providing your business license and/or tax certificate? Or did you buy from their website, which allows anyone to make a purchase? If the latter, then you have a receipt, not an invoice, and it will not be accepted by Amazon.

Hello @Seller_d5Eec4g2XHrDl,

I'm sorry for the issues you're having listing your product on Amazon. Please share your most recent case ID related to your brand application, and I'll review to see what options exist.

Regards,

- Manny
