OTDR Protected but counted as late

I have a shipment with a green "OTDR protected" badge but it is counted as late and appears in the OTDR download report. Why?

Did you use standard shipping? It won't be protected if you used economy shipping (5-8 days). Was it scanned by the carrier before the ship-by date?

Hover over that badge to see the smoke and mirrors. The "fine print" will say you need to have AHT and SSA turned on, as well as using Amazon Buy Shipping, to get that protection. There have been reports from sellers of still having a hit, making one wonder if that protection does not begin until the stated start date of Sept. 25th.

Hi,

I have been having the same issue and opened many tickets and I finally got this answer from Amazon.

Amazon Reply:

Upon my investigation, the issue with orders showing defects even after using all three tools, and it has now been resolved. Please note that some orders may still appear as defective for the time being, but any orders, after August/27/2024, using all three tools (AHT, SSA, B/S) will no longer show as defects.

The orders ID's as you mentioned were affected because the orders are before the August/27. While you do not need to take any action on the account at this moment, I advise you to maintain a close eye on the metric for the following 2-3 weeks.

Additionally, I would like to bring to your notice that the scores once captured cannot be altered/updated.

We'll see if this is true.

I see that you have some questions about why your OTDR was affected when it showed as protected on the order.

So that I may look into this further for you, can you share an associated case ID? From there I can check out the details to see what is going on.

Also, I wanted to point out that the community has shared helpful guidance on this topic for you to review.

Please review the following help page for more details:

Please respond here for further guidance. The forums community and I are here to support you.

Wishing you the best,

LeviDylan

Those badges are an outrageous farce. You have to hover over them and dig into layers of Amazon "help" information to find out the numerous odious things you have to sign up for to get coverage. The fact that the check mark does NOT mean you are covered was reported on this forum at least a week ago and nothing has been done to correct it. It is simply unprofessional and sad.

Not accurate for the professional plan, standard shipping offers three template options 5-8 days, 2-4 days, and 2-3 days. If you select the longest option you get this caution message:

"For all SKUs except media, such as Books, Magazines, DVDs, Standard Shipping transit time will be calculated using 5 days if 5-8 days is set. This only applies to contiguous US states (excludes Hawaii, Alaska, US protectorates). "

Same here...but I was able to get Amazon to admit the mistake on their end and they fixed the error.

I am going thru this now, this is what the Mod and Amazon told me, it comes down to the time of day, on the clock if it is late or not...here is what they told me today.

"If you were looking to dispute this, you would want to show that the three criteria were met for the OTDR protection, have you attempted to show this as of yet? If you did not want to take any additional action, we would recommend monitoring the metric while the order is still impacting

Please continue to refer to this thread with any future questions or updates you have on this situation"
