Why is it so hard to list stuff???
I can’t list any of my products anymore due to the things asked for my products. I just tried to list some cupcake toppers and when I chose party supplies, then cupcake topper, it labeled it as the health department, I went back in, changed it a little bit, it took me to the sports labels, when I finally get past the type of product I get hit with manufacturer numbers, part numbers and codes, it’s handmade so I don’t have that. I even tried copying an existing product and it asked me for my products type, components and manufacturer ID. It’s just some princess cupcake toppers, how do we get past this because I can’t list my products like this. It won’t let me. I have watched the video but I encourage anyone who answers this to try to list a cupcake topper.

Hi,
I don't make cupcake toppers, but technically you are the manufacturer because you handmake your items.
Select handmade attribute when creating. Put your brand, name for manufacturer. Put down your parts number. You can use whatever you'd like to use to track your item.
It sounds like you also submitted other fields that have activated specific field requirements. Try first only adding required attributes when creating a listing to prevent this and familiarize yourself with the Style Guide for the category you are listing in. It will have a list of relevant and required values as well as best practices.
If you have office, I recommend downloading a category specific template for your product type as all the required information will be clearly marked and valid values will be provided on the tab at the bottom.
It sounds like an issue with product identifiers to me as far as what is being required. but that's a best guess.

Hope this helps, and good luck out there to us all.

I ran into this shifting product category thing with upload files also. The AI looks at your title, then decides the best category no matter what you requested. Changes all the required data fields, so of course, items cannot be added.
Fortunately in my case, I was using an upload file. I put in a ticket asking how I am supposed to know what the new category will be so my new items would pass validation. I don't think I got an answer, but my items that had all the errors magically got added anyway.
