Did you pay ANY attention to what I posted on one of your OTHER threads about the same issue/type of question?

Go into the ASIN in your inventory and click on the three dots on the right side. The first one in the list that opens is 'edit' BUT scroll down to 'add another condition' and click on it.

Then go to fulfillment and click on "I want to ship this item myself".

I haven't had to do one for a while but I think you need to use a new SKU -- maybe just add FBM to the end of what it there currently.

You also need to adjust all your prices and decide on a shipping template!

Many SMART FBA sellers have both an FBA and an FBM offer since Amazon loves to play musical chairs with their inventory as I have noted on lots of other posts on the issue ---

They should play some piped in music when sellers have that happen, starting with this timeless (on Amazon) tune --

FBA MUSICAL CHAIRS

One of the 'joys' of doing FBA is that THEY decide what they want/need in whatever location.

That is so that THEIR customers can get things faster and make THEM look good. That means they will take your items and move them to a dozen different warehouses spread across the country. OR have you spend the money to ship them there!

While they do that, your items are generally NOT available for sale (or WILL NOT SHIP) until they are (hopefully) checked in at the ‘new, improved’ location.

That is why many FBA sellers will keep items on hand so they can sell FBM while Amazon screws around with your inventory.

This issue is happening because Amazon is validating your parent variation SKU incorrectly after you tried switching from FBA to FBM. The error:

“Prevent search suppression – Your submission has invalid condition type”

usually means the parent listing is missing a valid condition value or Amazon is trying to treat the parent SKU like a sellable product.

The important part is that parent SKUs should NOT be converted to FBM. Only the child SKUs should have inventory, quantity, fulfillment method, and condition.

What you should do:

1. Go to Inventory → Manage All Inventory

2. Find the parent SKU

3. Click Edit

4. Under the Offer tab:

* remove quantity if there is any

* do not assign FBM/FBA to the parent

* make sure condition type is set to “New”

5. Save changes

Then switch ONLY the child SKUs to FBM.

If Seller Central does not show the condition field, use a flat file upload instead:

* Download the category inventory template

* Fill only these fields:

* sku

* product-id

* product-id-type

* condition-type = New

* update-delete = Partial Update

* Upload the file and wait for processing

This problem is very common with variation listings because Amazon revalidates attributes when fulfillment methods change. Usually the parent SKU gets corrupted while the child ASINs are still fine.

Do NOT delete your child listings or create new ASINs. If the error still remains after updating the condition type, delete and recreate ONLY the parent SKU and reconnect the existing children.
