Seller Central tax profile - Line 2 for Business Name for Individual Account
For W-9 Form, Step to Review and sign electronically
1 Name of entity/individual. An entry is required. (For a sole proprietor or disregarded entity, enter the owner’s name on line 1, and enter the business/disregarded entity’s name on line 2.)
2 Business name/disregarded entity name, if different from above -- This option is not editable...
Where to find and enter LLC info for an individual/disregarded llc?
Thanks

Great question — this is a common point of confusion when completing the electronic W-9 for a single-member LLC (disregarded entity). Here's how it works:
Line 1 — Name of entity/individual: This should be the owner's legal name (your personal full name). For a sole proprietor or disregarded entity, the IRS requires the individual's name on this line, not the LLC name.
Line 2 — Business name/disregarded entity name: This is where your LLC name should appear (e.g., "Smith Ventures LLC"). If you're finding that this field is not editable in the electronic W-9 interview, it's because Amazon auto-populates it from your account registration details.
To fix or update Line 2, try the following:
- Go to Settings → Account Info → Business Information
- Make sure your Legal Business Name reflects your LLC name
- Save the changes
- Then go back to Settings → Account Info → Tax Information and re-start the W-9 tax interview
After updating, Line 2 should now show your LLC name correctly.
A couple of additional tips:
- For Tax Classification, make sure to select "Individual/Sole Proprietor or Single-Member LLC" — this is the correct classification for a disregarded entity
- For your TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number), you can use either your SSN or your EIN (if you have one for the LLC). Just make sure it matches what's on file with the IRS
If after updating your business information Line 2 still isn't reflecting correctly, I'd recommend contacting Selling Partner Support directly so they can review your account settings and assist with the tax interview process.
Hope this helps!
