Size normalization now includes more product types

Last year, we implemented product size normalization on search and product detail pages, to ensure that customers receive consistent product size information across all stores.

This year, we're expanding the scope of this feature to include additional product types, including pitchers, binoculars, and pressure cookers.

To add or update a product's size value, go to Manage Inventory.

For more information on included product types, go to the Size normalization FAQ.

This post states that the scope of this feature includes additional product types. What product types are impacted by this change, this year?

The Amazon documentation for "Size normalization FAQ" does not include a link for "What product types are impacted by this change?"

It is grayed out like it's supposed to have a link, but there is no link.

Please let us know.

Kind of wish that Amazon would fix the categories that this currently impacts before they start inflicting this on more sellers because most of the time it doesn't make sense.

- Amazon's new size name policy really only makes sense if you have a larger pack size and there are a ton of instances where this doesn't work well and if I want to try to fix it I have to update 3 attributes and hope that Amazon will actually push those updates through without breaking the variation. As opposed to before I could just update the size name to be what I needed it to be.

- For example: Size normalization hit the menstrual cups category on Amazon, and all of the size names follow the format "Unit Count, Unit count Type, (Pack of X)" but would make more sense for most sellers to say Small, Medium, Large, etc. But under this new policy that's just not an option.

- The result of this was that most of the sellers now make their variations by color so they can say what size the cup is.
