Supplier Legitimacy Suspension — New Brand, Missing Old Docs, Looking for Real Guidance (Not "You're Done")

Hi everyone,

I've been suspended for 2 years over a "Supplier Legitimacy / Supply Chain Verification" issue on one ASIN. I'll be upfront about my mistakes because I think it matters for anyone trying to help:

At the time I sourced this product, I didn't understand how strict Amazon's supply chain documentation requirements were. I had an invoice and a receipt, but no "supplier's supplier" documentation, no bill of lading, no commercial invoice, no packing list — and honestly, I didn't think it would matter as much as it did. I know now that was a serious mistake on my part, and I'm not looking for sympathy on that point. I just don't have those documents and never will.

Since then, I've:

Authorized destruction of all remaining inventory tied to that ASIN

Registered a new, fully legitimate brand (trademark application filed and published)

Rebuilt my Plan of Action around a full pivot to the new brand only

Been in direct contact with an Amazon Account Executive who helped me route my case to the Seller Performance Policy team

Recently I also noticed Amazon has changed the Account Health reactivation flow — for cases like mine, there's no longer a free-text Plan of Action field, only structured document upload. Since I can't supply the missing documents, I'm not sure how this update affects sellers in my situation.

I also have funds still held in the account that I haven't been able to recover.

I'm not asking anyone to tell me "there's nothing you can do" — I've heard that enough and it doesn't move me forward. What I'm looking for is anyone who has been through something similar, especially post-2026 policy changes, and can point me toward something concrete: a channel that actually worked, a way to reframe a case with permanently missing documents, anything real.

Genuinely grateful for any guidance.

Fortunately private messages are not possible in this forum. Otherwise you would get tens of messages from so called specialists able to resolve this issue and to take your money.

In case you find someone who got out of that hole - just tell us his name.

I'm not sure why you think things will change, and that you'll get different answers than have already been given to you, including BY AMAZON.

You seem convinced that Amazon bears the burden of proof that your items are not legit; but in reality, it is on YOU to prove that not only are ALL of your items legitimate, but also that they were sourced properly and that you have authorization to sell those brands on Amazon.

Provide all of that (with the authorization being the most important), and you should be okay.

But if you don't have ALL of that information (and all of your posts point to you lacking a significant amount of what is needed), then your only possible path forward is to get the courts to order Amazon to release your funds. Of course, to do this, figure on the first $5-10K going to your lawyer....

Hi @Jameson_Amazon @Danny_Amazon @Michelle_Amazon @Dougal_Amazon @CR_Amazon @Manny_Amazon @Casey_Amazon @Levi_Dylan_Amazon @Glenn_Amazon @Quincy_Amazon @Kai_Amazon

I know this is a lot of tags, and I apologize — I've been trying to get a specific policy question answered and haven't had luck through other channels.

I noticed the "Reactivate your account" flow in Account Health recently changed: there's no longer a free-text Plan of Action field, only structured document uploads (ID, business registration, invoices, bank statement).

My question: for sellers whose case involves supporting documents that are permanently unavailable (not disputing the original violation, just genuinely unable to produce certain older records), is there any alternate path for review, or does the structured form remain the only option going forward?

I'd sincerely appreciate any guidance, even just confirmation either way. Thank you for your time.

This sounds incredibly exhausting after two years of back and forth. The updated structured-only appeal process makes cases lacking historical documents even harder.

I agree generic “you can’t fix it” responses are not helpful. Document every action you have taken including inventory destruction and new brand setup thoroughly. Hopefully someone here has practical success stories under the new policy to share with you.
