💡 Engage With Amazon: Get your Product Title Update Questions Answered!
Hey sellers 👋
Your product titles are one of the first things customers see, and with more shoppers browsing on mobile, every character counts. , we’re making some changes that will help you show your product name and your product highlights seamlessly.
What's Changing?
Starting July 27, 2026, titles in all categories except for media will need to be 75 characters or less including spaces. This ensures that your title will fully display on mobile and is consistent with the title length used by other online stores.
Item Highlights provide an additional 125 characters for sharing materials or recommended use cases that help customers compare options. This content is searchable and visible with titles in search results and on product detail pages. You can continue using your existing title until July 27 or update your title to 75 characters and add Item Highlights.
Just in case you missed it, Here is the News Announcement: Updates to improve your product titles begin on July 27.
How to Prepare Your Listings
Here's your step-by-step action plan:
- Use Enhance Listings today – Review, modify, and apply AI-recommended titles and Item Highlights that follow best practices. The tool keeps your key product info in the title and moves additional details to Item Highlights.
- Brand owners: Review and approve AI-generated recommendations in Review Listings Changes up to 14 days before changes go live.
- All sellers: View any AI-applied changes in Manage All Inventory → click View Change History. Update your listings anytime via Manage Inventory.

I'm having an issue with my account health. My account is blocked. My applications aren't being approved even though I've submitted purchase invoices.
Could you please help me with this?
I've created a thread on the forum and tagged you. I would appreciate your help.
I've also created a case regarding this issue.
Case ID: 20424039061
Please help me.

Are Bundle listings exempt from this policy? Your Bundle Policy page still states: "Bundle title length should align to title length rules in Amazon’s listing policy. This policy allows listings with a title length of maximum 200 characters (including spaces) in all categories."

Currently it does not work: 100476: This attribute 'Item Highlight' is currently unsupported. Please refer to the tool tip for additional details.
Also: Will this be available for the flatfile/ spreadsheet catalog uploading?

Hi @Dougal_Amazon, we have a few questions.
1) For a product sold by multiple resellers, who has authority to apply the AI-recommended titles: only the brand owner's account, any reseller with brand registry rights, or any reseller?
2) Does the 75-character cap apply to both parent and child titles for variation pages, or just one or the other?
3) Is the Item Highlights field updateable via an API, such as Feedonomics?
4) Is the Item Highlights field updateable via a bulk update template?
5) What are the rules and requirements and best practices for the Item Highlights field?
6) How are sellers protected against any potential policy violations that might get flagged by titles generated by Amazon's AI?

This is going to go so smoothly, I'm sure. Amazon will NOT bungle this.

How do variations play into this?
I have a Parent Tile at 67 characters. With my Child title, it's at 76
Also, Amazon should add a character count to that field

For the art category, we need to have in the title:
Artist Name
Art Title
Then the actual Product keywords
75 characters is not realistic. Please reconsider this for the art category. Sometimes an artist's first and last name alone is over 50 characters.
Art titles can be quite long as well.

This will not work under Toys & Games - you need brand, title, edition, rarity and set information in the title. There is no way to include this information in 75 characters. 100 MIGHT be enough, 75 won't be enough
