Read onlyMy product listing were deactivated for two of my ASINs and Amazon said it was requiring various compliance documentation. I have submitted my documents, including the requested testing report, but Amazon is saying that they require ASTM F963-17. This is an outdated requirement and has been replaced with ASTM F963-23, which my product passed. I have have submitted an appeal and provided several credible publications that reports ASTM F963-17 was in fact replaced with ASTM F963-17, but it was rejected. Has anyone had luck working with Amazon to get this approved? It seems silly to require ASTM F963-17 since ASTM F963-23 is now the gold standard and far more stringent.
We have had an issue with Amazon compliance but not specifically ASTM F963-23. Ours is also with testing for a child item. We had 11 items that Amazon deactivated for compliance. We submitted our test report and it was accepted for 8 of the items but not for 3 of the items ... same item but with different custom designs engraved/imprinted on the top. This has been going on since Dec 28, 2024.
We are not sure this Amazon compliance team is completely up to date and sometimes is just miss checking boxes. It seems this Amazon compliance team is in India so there may be a language issue involved.
It is frustrating to say the least.
Hello @Seller_ydeVr9pX94b2E,
Thank you for posting your concerns with compliance documents not being accepted.
You mentioned that this situation has caused two of your ASINS to be deactivated. So I have the ability to look further into your request and the situation as a whole, I would ask that you please post your ASIN and or the related case ID associated to the compliance document review. This information will allow me to better understand the request, information provided and if necessary involve the appropriate teams for a more detailed review or explanation of the situation.
As you mentioned the ASTM F963 Standard Consumer Safety Specification was updated back in October of 2023 where ASTM F963-17 was replaced by ASTM F963-23 which included higher standards for battery operated toys. Thus providing the above mentioned information will allow me to further support you through this situation.
