even the customers are leaving "fake" in their feedbackas.

and many different vendors share the same exact image for their products.

Please be sure to report this to AMZ through official channels. Report the seller on the item page if you know this to be true. If AMZ gets enough complaints they will in fact do something about it.

Of course they know this. You used to have to apply and pay a $5000 fee to sell silver. Now they let anyone in. Silver has become a description for the tone of the metal instead of being actual silver.

This scheme has been going on for quite some time. Amazon has known about it for quite some time.

Amazon won't put a stop to it, because its very profitable for Amazon in the short run, as consumers realize they have been duped, it will be bad, but very good for short term profits.

Run the numbers, if a seller is selling gold plated brass and selling it as "14K gold" for $75 the margin is huge. Amazon is in for 20% of the sell plus whatever is spent for sponsored products, with those margins you can spend a substantial % on sponsored products. Search 14K Gold hoop earrings or 14K gold cross , dozens of listings come up.

This started with "Moissanite lab grown diamonds" there is no such thing a lab grown diamond is a lab grown diamond, moissanite is moissanite. The FTC even sent warning letters at one time calling this unfair and deceptive. Amazon looked the other way.

Amazon knows about the fraud, enables the fraud and profits from the fraud, but is an "Open marketplace" so they look the other way.
