Read onlyWe are a reputable American brand that works hard to earn high reviews on our entire catalog, and have never engaged in the tactics that our international competition does, such as buying and faking reviews.
Today I noticed that somehow at least 15 reviews ranging from 4 to 5 stars had been removed from our detail page with no explanation from Amazon. I suspect that the Chinese sellers we compete with have somehow sabotaged our listing, is this possible? Wouldn't Amazon send some sort of email or performance notification if they removed our reviews?

We remove reviews that violate our guidelines, and buyers can remove their own reviews. We do not notify third party sellers upon removing reviews. Reviews are removed from the Amazon website as follows:
Susan
Same thing happened to us by the way (also a US brand and manufacturer). Several reviews gone, at the same time I reported multiple reviews from unverified sources and multiple from verified competitors and Amazon did nothing.

It is such a shame that the sellers sitting outside the US are using the platform in a negative way to its full ability, which is disturbing the e-commerce ecosystem.
Because it's an account-level ban.
So if the said reviewer engaged in fake review in any capacity (not specifically on your listing), ALL their review will be removed after the community manager (I think that's what Amazon calls them these days?) issues the ban regardless of which one is legit and which one is fake.
