Request for Help Regarding Denied SAFE-T Claim – Order 113-0362745-9559448

Hello amazon,

I am facing an issue with a recent SAFE-T claim that was unfortunately denied. The specific order number is 113-0362745-9559448.

Issue Overview:

On December 19, 2024, I received an email from Amazon stating that a refund was issued for the above order, with the reason given as "Unable To Deliver." However, this order was successfully delivered to the customer on October 1, 2024, and the tracking information confirms that the product was delivered without issue.

I immediately contacted Amazon's CSBA customer support team. After investigation, they confirmed that the refund was issued in error by a team member from Amazon's US site. The CSBA team suggested I submit a SAFE-T claim to request reimbursement for the incorrect refund. As such, I submitted the SAFE-T claim with all necessary supporting documents, including the tracking information and correspondence with the CSBA team.

Denial Reason:

However, my claim was denied, and the reason provided in the email was:

"You did not use the Buy Shipping Services to ship the item. Reimbursements can only be granted when Buy Shipping Service is used to ship a self-fulfilled customer service by Amazon (CSBA) order."

Why I Believe This Denial is Unfair:

  • There was no actual delivery issue with the order. The product was successfully delivered on time, and I have provided the relevant shipping details (see attachment).
  • The refund was due to an error made by Amazon staff, and I promptly reached out to customer support, who confirmed the mistake.
  • I did not use the Buy Shipping Services because I used an alternative shipping method that was reliable, and the order was delivered without any delivery issues.

Request for Assistance:

The issue I’m facing is that due to Amazon’s error, I lost a significant $2000 order, which is a major setback for my small business.

I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions from the community on how I can appeal this decision or resolve the issue. I sincerely hope Amazon will reconsider my SAFE-T claim, especially given that the refund was entirely due to an internal mistake by Amazon.
