I have identified 5 different seller accounts who all belong to the same person and all 5 have tried to hijack our ASIN which led to it's removal by "listing injection attack"......does anybody at Amazon care?
I don't even know how to go about reporting this, there isn't a brand registry report I can send that has enough characters allotment to contain the issue!
We've been having a hell of a time dealing with hijackers making life hell for our now very angry authorized resellers, turns out most of them have all been the same guy just with different accounts! 5 of them I'm 100% sure by pulling up the addresses and LLC's, others I couldn't find LLC listings for and the addresses are always random residential so I'm not going to assume but if I had to guess I would say those as well. Regardless it looks like the seller(s) finally got tired of being removed from our ASIN and decided to take their ball and go home. So today I learned a new term "listing injection attack", our ASIN went down this morning as the last hijacker who mocked us when we sent him a cease and desist last night and also revealed exactly what he was doing decided to upload a bunch of bad information to the detail page to make Amazon think we are selling a prohibited product. Well it worked, I know he did this because I was receiving "detail page change requests" and at one point the picture on the product had even changed for a very short time I saw it with my own eyes. He was uploading the information of the same product he ships to customers when he hijacks our ASIN which is a prohibited item, I know because I have test buys from these accounts, he did this knowing it would lead to our ASIN being removed. Amazon bots are now identifying our product directly as a product that has been flagged by the FDA, never mind that it's our private label brand which has no affiliation with any other brand and we have certified accredited lab testing for it which we have already proven to Amazon multiple times in order to be able to sell it.
Brand registry is slow and ineffective, it takes days if not weeks to have someone removed and they often reject claims with no rhyme or reason to it and that wouldn't have stopped this anyway. We were in the process of enrolling with Transparency if they would ever answer our support ticket but that's obviously a fruitless endeavor now with the ASIN currently a dog page. This isn't really about that anyway, I already have threads going about that stuff which are not receiving any real help. I need to get my ASIN back and this guy needs to be gone so he can't do this anymore, I use a consulting company for my Amazon brand and they believe the hijacker uploaded the info to other marketplaces which they are trying to figure out. But what does it matter if it's just going to happen again when I get the ASIN back up?
Oh and did I mention now that he has figured out the formula to do this he has hijacked other legitimate similar products trying to do the same with them as well?!

I am sorry this is happening. It sucks.
But a few things will give you a much better chance of getting through it.
First, do NOT send Amazon messages like the one above. Long, dense explanations are rarely read carefully. Seller Support and Brand Registry teams are processing huge volumes. Be surgical.
- One case.
- One issue.
- A few facts.
- One specific request.
Do not keep opening new cases. Every new case effectively starts you back at ground zero with a new agent and a new queue.
Second, you are not Sherlock Holmes. You do not need to prove who owns five accounts, reconstruct their network, or investigate every bad actor yourself. Report the abuse with the strongest evidence you have and let Amazon investigate the rest.
Third, spend most of your time protecting and improving YOUR listing, not chasing every bad actor. You will never stop all of them. Make your catalog, Brand Registry permissions, content, documentation, and account protections as strong as possible.
If you have real evidence of coordinated fraud, impersonation, trademark infringement, or other unlawful conduct, that is also where the legal system can become appropriate. Amazon is not the only remedy available to a Brand Owner.
As to whether Amazon "cares," understand the economics. Industry estimates suggest roughly the top 5% of sellers generate well over half of 3P sales and the top 20% generate close to 90%. If you are outside that group, you should realistically understand where Amazon is likely to put its limited people and resources.
Brand Registry can absolutely be slow and frustrating. I have worked closely with that organization for a long time. They are dealing with enormous volume and limited resources, but it IS the system we have.
So use it correctly:
- ONE case
- concise facts
- strongest evidence only
- one clear request
- wait for the response
- reply briefly if they ask for more
Do not over-explain. Do not open five parallel cases. Do not spend your entire day investigating the bad actor.
Report it, protect your own catalog, and keep moving the business forward.

Hi @Seller_2HG5an4fIKmX0,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Here's what you can do to report this and protect your account:
CaptVita gave you excellent guidance. To add to that, here are the correct ways to report this type of abuse through Amazon's tools:
Report the ASIN Hijacking and Detail Page Abuse:
- If you are enrolled in Brand Registry, use the Report a Violation (RAV) tool to submit your report here.
- If you do not have access to RAV, use the Report Abuse form in Seller Central.
- Select the violation type that best matches your situation (e.g., "Product detail page was changed to represent a different product")
- Include the ASIN, the store name of the seller you are reporting, and a concise explanation
- Attach supporting documentation such as order IDs from test buys, screenshots, and receipts
- You will receive a Complaint ID after submitting. Keep this — you will need it if you need to follow up
For the ASIN Restoration:
- Open one Seller Support case focused specifically on restoring your ASIN
- Include your certified lab testing documentation and any prior approvals Amazon granted for the product
- Reference the Complaint ID from your abuse report
To Prevent Future Attacks:
- Continue pursuing Transparency enrollment. You can reach the Transparency team through Brand Registry support here.
- For more on protecting your brand, visit Report a violation of our policies in Seller Central.
Reports are typically reviewed within 72 hours. Keep each report focused on one issue with your strongest evidence, as CaptVita recommended.

Hello, sorry to hear about the issue, but its old trick. Amazon takes back and forth when we complain and sometimes sellers dont even notice the change because hijackers can inject KWs that dont even show on detail page but ASIN get flagged, there are tools that can monitor the changes and also send you alerts and also you can resolve the issue via tools before getting flagged. I used "Automaz" Listing Integrity tool which is very effective and made for these specific issues. I hope this will help you.
