One of the team members of our small business noticed that one of our listings had its title changed by Amazon's AI. We went to change it because the new title did not properly reflect the product customers would receive. Upon going to change the title, we were told by Amazon that they were unable to do so because "another brand steward" claimed the ASIN.
While we understand that multiple brands may sell the same ASIN, this is not the case for ours. We are the sole seller of the ASIN and when you follow ASIN it leads back to us. So far we have spoken with amazon seller support via live chat and phone call, both were like talking to brick walls. They could not answer any questions and simply stated that's the way it is.
Seller support tells us to talk to Account health who then sends us right back to seller support. We've opened another case just to be sure, but more often than not our cases are acknowledged and closed with no recourse.

Has anyone been able to reclaim an ASIN from an unknown "brand steward"? We've tried checking other marketplaces to see if its us in say, Brazil for example, but we only sell within the US.
