Repeated Logins Out of Hand
4 login demands in one day
Used to be I could go weeks without needing to re-login to my account, but it has been increasing and has gotten out of hand.
Every couple hours yesterday Amazon was requiring a new login. Just had to login again now.
Big pain in the butt having to get away from my desk and find the phone with a 2FA, get a code and have to enter it.

I agree, it's annoying, especially when you're being asked to authenticate multiple times in the same day.
But this isn't unique to Amazon. More and more financial, retail, business, and cloud platforms are moving toward shorter sessions and repeated authentication as security requirements increase.
Personally, I'd rather enter a 2FA code four times in a day than deal with someone gaining access to our Seller Central account.
There is an enormous amount at risk inside these accounts: banking information, disbursements, inventory, customer orders, advertising, Brand Registry, and the ability to operate your entire Amazon business.
So yes, it's inconvenient. But at least recognize what you're getting in return: another layer of protection around an extremely valuable business asset.
I'd accept the inconvenience and be glad the account is secure.

It takes me some seconds. Phone on my desk, click the authenticator, feed the passkey with the code.
I suggest you use an old phone only for that task. Like this you never loose it, the app is always opened, it's always on your desk. Doesn't need a SIM card. (But wifi of course)
