Customer Reviews. IMPORTANT: The Customer Reviews product on Seller Central will be fully deprecated on September 30, 2025.

Well, Amazon.. You have finally outdone yourself. You are going to merge the one app on your site that works relatively well, Customer Reviews, with your asinine, ridiculous APP, which is just a repository of customer lies and ignorant comments, Voice Of The Liar.. I mean, Voice of the Customer.

Customer reviews was the one functional app on your site so you just couldn't help yourself but to eliminate it? And eliminate it in favor of the app (Voice Of The Liar) where lying customers leave nonsense comments in order to try an extract and justify a free return when they screw up and order the wrong item.

Take something clear, concise and easy to use and merge it with the most useless garbage information.

Who was the mindless dolt who thought of this? Why do they still have a job?

Amazon is Idiocracy.

If something works well, break it!

I could not agree with you more. Customer Reviews are one thing but this awful Voice Of The Customer is crap! Half the time one bad comment leaves you susceptible to suspension or deactivation. Especially since customers barely bother to leave positive reviews. Most of the time customers lie, don't read item details, don't look at images and then buy something they claim is the wrong product or that the product description was inaccurate when it was simply them that missed details. It is beyond frustrating.

1000X agree. Just incredible. Customer Reviews are something I review every day. It's functional, informative and useful.

VOC - Utterly useless trash I never look at. Not just my opinion but numerous sellers have repeatedly stated here how terrible VOC is.

It's mind-boggling Amazon could screw this up so bad.

Leave the reviews. Has anyone ever said the Reviews section needed to be changed?

I recently got a voice of the customer review where the guy said the item never arrived. Problem is the order was placed and shipped the day before he left the review. It wasn't supposed to arrive for several more days. So I went and looked at all the reviews he had left and there I saw he ordered the same thing from another seller that was just like mine and it appears he got me mixed up with that seller. My order arrived a day earlier than it was scheduled to a few days later, but now I'm stuck with some review on voice of the customer that's not even for me. Dumb!

I wonder whether under the new system negative feedbacks from FBA sellers will continue to be suppressed, even if they have nothing to do with fulfillment.

We're in 100% agreement that the Customer Reviews page is one of the most useful resources Amazon gives sellers — we check it daily for actionable product feedback.

By contrast, the "Voice of the Customer" report has become a dumping ground for vague or misleading buyer complaints that are often impossible to act on. In many cases, it reflects what happens when customers don’t read product descriptions, don’t follow instructions, or misuse the item entirely — but then mark it "Not as Expected" or worse.

Because the return process is so frictionless, we frequently get items back in unsellable condition with zero accountability, and the VOC report just adds insult to injury. It's not helping us improve — it's just scolding us for problems we didn't cause.

Moving us from a useful tool like Customer Reviews to that incoherent VOC dashboard is a big step backwards.

Voice of the Customer, has to be the most ridiculous thing. Example I have a listing that had all 5 star reviews, everyone loves this bathroom toilet decal. Normally I sell it everyday and many of them. I have 1 customer out of all of these other customers leave a Complaint thru Voice of the Customer. Now the listing has been removed from "Excellent status" how is that even possible that 1 would drop the rating. And Amazon advises me to remove all inventory and not sell this item. What?! really.

To give an example of why the Voice of the Customer page is absolutely useless: the defect rate for our direct channels—where customers interact with a live human to return products made on the same U.S. production line—is close to zero.

What’s especially frustrating is that Amazon’s return process—combined with human nature—practically encourages customers to select “defective” or "not as described" as the reason for the return.

Amazon doesn’t require any supporting details, yet sellers are penalized based on those unchecked claims.

I see the same issue affecting other sellers in my segment—both large and small. One of my favorite examples is ASIN B088W8LQLJ, an extension pole that I consider to be an engineering marvel, manufactured by the well-known brand Ryobi.

Anyone with even modest DIY experience understands that when you extend an 18-foot pole, it’s not the weight but the long moment arm that takes strength to control. Despite being, in my opinion, the lightest, strongest, and most functional product in its category, it was hit early on with a wave of negative reviews—mostly from buyers who lack the common sense to buy a product like this in the first place.

TOTALLY AGREE.

It is OBVIOUS that the people making this type of decision are not interfacing with the Selling community on Amazon.

We can hope the 3rd Party apps like H10 and others step up and offer a reviews feature in their software.

Could NOT agree more!! I know this isn't an airport...but... I can't wait to leave Amazon!!! Sold our company and I have just a month or two left and we are out! The money we made was beyond frustrating, Amazon works so hard to ruin good sellers, can't get a human to help with obvious issues, constant buyer fraud and abuse that is allowed so increases... ugh... Sometimes stress isn't worth the money and being and Amazon seller is one of those! Interestingly, one of our employees used to work in an amazon warehouse and she said the culture there was the worst she had ever experienced. Interesting how they seem to treat both sellers and employees like garbage for the almighty buyer buck. I mean, I get they need the buyers, but dang... way to create a culture of chaos and theft. Anywho - good luck to all that remain, for as long as you do! We all know AMZ just replaces us and don't care anyway, so hopefully your experience is better than ours (of 20 years!!) or you have a better tolerance for this crap, lol. :)
