Decreased Sales dramatically in last 30 days

hello readers,

I have established a new business on amazon and launched my product on amazon after two years of work, my product was listed on amazon on November 26th 2025, after one week I got good response in sales and sold more than 30 pieces and just before Christmas my sales dropped to zero units, first I thought it was because of holidays or Christmas and it will get better after the Christmas Holidays but it didn't. Despite launching multiple Advertising Champaign's I did not get any response in sales. I don't know the cause of it why this is happening. Does any body have any clue or idea what's going on ? Is there any technical issue or am I doing some thing not properly.

The details of sales are as under:

1- In the month of December 2025 before Christmas I sold 38 units.

2- After Christmas till today only 4 units sold.

Thankyou.

I will wash, rinse, and, repeat what I said on a different post about bad/no sales --

Probably nothing that you have done -- either right or wrong.

Chalk it up to -

the economy

rising unemployment

massive layoffs by large companies

tariffs

increasing late payments on auto loans and mortgages

the Government shutdown

people cutting back in general

AND, the never ending 'let's BOYCOTT and stop buying because we have a bug up our butt' about whatever.

The Fed cut interest rates because they see problems coming (worse than what is already here).

Buckle up and wear protective gear, it's going to get rocky...

Hi @Seller_7mKTfxdKjArYM,

I can totally understand the frustration when sales take a dip, especially after a promising start. The post-holiday slowdown is actually pretty common, so you're definitely not alone in this.

December is peak shopping season with tons of customer traffic, but January typically sees a natural drop as people pull back on spending after the holidays. That said, there are definitely things you can check and adjust to help get your momentum back.

First, take a look at your product listing. Make sure your title, images, and bullet points are really dialed in to highlight what makes your product special. Customer reviews are important too—if you're sitting at a good number from those December sales, that's great. If you haven't already, consider using A+ Content to tell your product story better.

On the advertising front, running multiple campaigns is smart, but you'll want to make sure they're optimized. Check your keyword performance—are you getting impressions but no clicks? That might mean your keywords aren't quite right or your main image needs work. Getting clicks but no sales? Could be a pricing issue or your product detail page needs strengthening. I'd recommend focusing on keywords that are actually converting rather than just casting a wide net. Also, look at your bid strategy and consider adjusting based on which placements are performing best for you.

A few quick wins to try:

  • Review your pricing against competitors—even small adjustments can make a difference
  • Make sure you're using relevant, high-traffic keywords (tools like Amazon's Search Term Report can help)
  • Consider running a promotion or coupon to create urgency and attract buyers
  • Double-check that your inventory is properly stocked and your listings are active

January can be tough, but it's also a great time to optimize everything so you're ready when traffic picks back up. Keep testing and adjusting—the fact that you had strong initial sales shows there's definitely demand for your product.

It's the platform! Amazon continues to drive sellers away by abuse of theft and fraud. We had item last week $89.99 High pricing Error so we checked Amazon lowered limits to $50 so we checked ebay listed and sold in 3 days at $159.99 + $15 shipping big difference, Amazon is run by AI BOTS and have manipulated everything from buy box removal which STOPS all sales of that item by 99% to making items not show up in search and it continues to get worse as they will increase whatever they can to bleed sellers out as they continue to claw revenue from transaction fees to keep shareholders happy on earnings. Dont forget you also have a group of shoppers who think what Big Daddy JEFF did with Washington post is wrong and they are also no longer purchasing on Amazon. Think about is 5-10 years ago Amazon offered everything big brands you names it one stop shop prices were double ebay but who cared it was easy and fast and all ones stop now Amazon looks like Alibaba full of made up Garage Brands....

For drop in sales, it could be for many reasons but potentially these 2

1- New/existing competitors are taking over with better offer

2- Drop in market demand

to troubleshoot if this is an offer problem or a market problem, I have 2 ways to go about it.

1- Look at competitor's BLM and see if they're dropping as well or going up

2- Use helium10 to track the relevant keywords to see if there is a drop in searches per month

@Seller_7mKTfxdKjArYM, assuming your listing is ASIN # B0DTF7M9ZC, a quick look confirms that it—like every every other listing—is flooded with dozens of competitors’ ads.

Amazon is no longer primarily an online retailer; it’s a clickbait platform whose real business is charging increasingly desperate sellers for advertising.

Without meaningful differentiation and a hard-to-duplicate supply chain, selling here is a race to the bottom—shrinking margins, rising ad costs, and certain financial loss.

Sold 38 in December and only 4 since? That's honeymoon decay, not a technical issue. Amazon gives new listings a 30 to 60 day visibility boost. When it ends, if you haven't built organic relevance, sales drop off a cliff.

38 units across 4 weeks is about 1.4/day. Too low to lock in ranking before the boost ended. You needed 3 to 5/day at launch.

Two moves to run a real relaunch:

Pull your December keyword ranks vs today. The keywords you ranked top-3 for are probably page 4 now. Fix indexing. All 5 backend search term fields filled, top 5 head terms in the title and bullets, push for 3 reviews that mention those keywords.

Push Vine to 30 units this week. Below 15 reviews on a competitive keyword, you can't escape the conversion ceiling no matter how aggressively you bid.

If you can post which keywords you were ranking for in December and where they sit now, that pinpoints whether it's pure indexing decay or a competitor edge change.
