Hello,

First Question: Is there anyway to be vetted as a reptable seller that does not sale any products that are not DOT compliant without uploading documentation of compliance for every SKU?

Secound Question: If this is not an option, can I please be provided with a document that is comfirmed to be approved once submitted? This document having place to add all relavent SKU's and signature from manufaturers representative that all items listed are DOT compliant. Basically, can you please provide a document for our manufacturer to sign to make this process easy for sellers with large amounts of SKU's all produced from the same manufaturer.

Is the test report data that Amazon seeks with regards to compliance with FMVSS 139 available via a FOIA request to the NHTSA? I have requested this info regarding some of the tires we sell, but they are backed up 20-30 days out. I'm just wondering if they will be able to provide what we need for part 2 of the requested documents as the tires are manufactured overseas and it has been difficult getting this info from the manufacturer.

Thank you!

Hi sellers, thank you for getting the ball rolling with these great questions. Here is another example of a question that you could ask the Product Assurance team while we have them available!

Q: What if my products are not DOT approved and are not subject to FMVSS?

A: If you believe that your listing is incorrectly identified as subject to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, you can appeal through the Manage Your Compliance dashboard by clicking Add/appeal compliance and then Appeal request. Products that are not subject to FMVSS are not required to submit compliance documents.

Thank you for stopping by!

Kelly
