Hi Forum - would love some feedback on this and Amazon mod support.
I saw @Seller_PIHyltK09pbl3helped resolve this issue for forum users. Would love your help Sandy. Thank you!
I created a listing with brand "generic" in 2023 on ASIN: B0BCP4MNMQ.
It is a top selling product for me - I am a light bulb seller.
Of course other sellers mapped onto the listing over time. So Im guessing one of the other sellers modified the brand somehow in the listing or it was done automatically by Amazon. I do not know
Regardless the brand was changed to "technical precision" which is a protected brand that requires approval to sell. They are also light bulb sellers but they have never sold this product as a branded item or generically. They were never even sellers on this listing or had anything to do with this listing.
As a result, I was still able to sell on the listing for a while but had no ability to edit the listing. Then suddenly my offer became inactive and to "fix listing" I would have to request approval from technical precision - which would never happen. I tried working with them years ago and it was fruitless. Such a bummer because this is my listing I created with my UPC as brand "generic"
I have opened a case with seller support
Case IID 15848612511
The response I got was a generic response denying my request to change brand back to generic. That I have to create a new ASIN to protect the current brand etc. Obviously there was no real support so far on this issue
Amazon can clearly see I created this listing. I am the only one who knows the UPC # used. They can see that the brand was somehow changed at some point. I submitted photo proof of the product in original generic packaging with the listing name product as well as clearly displaying the UPC on the product itself.
Please help
This was before I applied for brand registry - which is active now and Im waiting for my USPTO return (about a year now). Once the trademark comes back I will build more brand listings so I have some chance of protecting the IP from hi-jackers. I know...good luck right - but Im doing my best to play by the rules. I have been a fairly successful small business on Amazon for the last 7 years. Good daily sales with solid numbers.
THANK YOU!
