About "75 item name + 125 item highlight"

"Starting July 27, 2026, titles in all categories except for media will need to be 75 characters or less including spaces. This ensures that your title will fully display on mobile and is consistent with the title length used by other online stores."

Based on the current situation, the mobile search results page only displays 2 lines of item name and 1 line of item highlight, with the same number of characters displayed as the previous 3 lines of title. The coherence of the content is even worse due to disconnection. And more importantly, due to the need to balance sentence fluency, in actual operation, the total number of characters has increased from nearly 200 to less controllable 100+, with much higher limits.

Even the "1 line" item highlight is in light font, and due to the weakened visual effect, I even feel that it can only be considered as half a line in terms of display effect.

"This ensures that your title will fully display on mobile" -------- Does it mean, fully display the title on the item details page? This seems even more meaningless, as the full title is displayed before updating.

Are there any meaningful changes? Possible "not yet clear" weight changes, or something else? At present, it seems that there are only negative effects.

Hello @Seller_YmZ4DbkU0m0HZ,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand you have questions about why we are requiring this change. When searching for a product on a cell phone, visible mobile product titles typically display between 50 to 75 characters before they are cut off by the small screen. This is why Amazon has changed their product title limit to 75 characters. While I know that you may not find this meaningful, it will ensure that your customers can find your products and see what is most important in the title.

You may want to review this post and this post, which other sellers have asked questions and the Title team has provided answers. If you have additional questions, feel free to add them to this post and they will follow up with you.

I hope this is helpful!
