Amazon has determined that Hurricanes Milton and Helene are major fulfillment network disruptions that affect the shipping regions listed below, and we have taken steps to reduce their impact on seller orders and your account health metrics.
For seller-fulfilled orders that are shipped to or from these regions, Amazon is adding promise extensions to the delivery dates customers see to ensure delivery expectations reflect possible delays. Additionally, we will protect your impacted orders from being considered as defects to your On-time Delivery Rate (OTDR), Late Shipment Rate (LSR), and Cancellation Rate (CR).
If any of your orders to or from these shipping regions are shipped late, delivered late or cancelled, these will not be calculated as a defect on your Account Health Dashboard and will not count against you for purposes of determining whether you have met the requirements of our Order Performance program policy.
The zip codes we add promise extensions to are dynamically updated as we get updates from carriers and observe transit lanes impact.
For Hurricane Milton, these exceptions and protections are already in effect as of October 8 and will continue until at least October 25. As of the moment we published this post, the zip codes we are proactively providing account protection are any that start with the following 3 digits: 286, 287, 288, 303, 304, 305, 306, 315, 320, 321, 322, 326, 327, 328, 329, 330, 334, 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 340, 341, 342, 344, 346, 347, 349.
For Hurricane Helene, these exceptions and protections are already in effect as of September 25 and will continue until at least October 18. As of the moment we published this post, the zip codes we are proactively providing account protection were any that start with the following 3 digits: 242, 243, 246, 266, 268, 270, 273, 275, 278, 279, 280, 281, 282, 283, 285, 286, 287, 288, 289, 290, 291, 293, 294, 295, 296, 297, 298, 299, 301, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, 310, 312, 313, 314, 315, 316, 317, 318, 319, 320, 323, 324, 325, 326, 329, 330, 338, 339, 342, 349, 359, 368, 376, 377, 378, 398
We may extend these dates and protected zones further based on continued impact to affected regions.
Additionally, we will remove any protected orders from your Account Health metrics reports. To view which of your orders were not protected and currently impact your account health metrics, go to your Account Health dashboard, click on the metric you are interested in viewing, and click ‘download report’. Please reach out to us via Seller support if there are orders which were affected by this event that were not considered for the above account health metric protection, and our investigations team will evaluate if the shipping to or shipping from zones of your orders should be considered under this protection.

Thank you for this, as we were a direct hit from Milton. Still have no internet ind power issues.
I'm in the effected zip code however I'm not effected, luckily. Shipping operations are normal for all carriers however I have noticed estimated delivery dates are pushed out. Is it possible to opt out? Since this announcement; we only had one order all day and this has never happened!
Thank you for this, as we were a direct hit from Milton. We lost internet and power on October 8, the day before Milton, and today is October 12 and we don't have power yet, but we were able to move our main computer to another place and we were able to access our account and put the account in vacation mode , but we have 3 late orders and that is affecting us with late shipping. We greatly appreciate your collaboration.
Thanks
Please add zip code 33708 for Hurricane Helene.
See thread https://sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-forums/discussions/t/c740d1e6-02a1-4000-9396-43797a184804? - Redington Shores, FL hit hard, see map of barrier pier location, USPS says unable to deliver, town website says power was over for over a week - need anything more?
We are included in your map and we were never affected by Helene. The USPS found a way to get around the damage, so we only experienced a 1 day delay on Ground shipments. We are losing sales for no reason.
Wow. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. We are in the area affected by Helene and have been furiously trying to get orders out on time.
I rarely say this, but Thank You Amazon.
We have created a case for two orders, however the answered we have received was this:
" I understand that the orders shipped after the expected ship date, due to issues caused by Hurricane Helene. I can understand how difficult it can be for you to ship the orders in time. While you do not need to take any action on the account at this moment, I advise you to maintain a close eye on the metric for the following 2-3 weeks and in case you get a call from the Account Health Support team please mention the same reason for which your Late Shipment Rate was affected so that we can help you address the violation at it's earliest. Additionally, I would like to bring to your notice that the scores once captured cannot be altered/updated. "
Our question now is:
Are the scores going to be actually updated or not? are the affected orders going to be actually removed from the account health metrics reports or not?
Since amazon did these extensions etc, our sales have dropped to 0, this is killing off business whatever they did with this. The entire day today not one new order, and weekends are normally are busiest with a normal flow. I am glad there are protections in place as some orders shipped early before the hurricane, and some were late going out after, and we were unable to respond to messages during in the required time frame. But now....were not getting any business, and carriers here are back to operating normal granted with probably a slight backlog. Hope the rest of you did okay during the tumultuous week last week, but now it just seems like amazon has gone too far and its hurting stifled new revenue.
Our business relocated in Sept 2024 to Florida 33811.
Can you help? We relocated our business within the last month to Florida that was impacted by both Hurricane Helene & Hurricane Milton.
Over the last month, we have completed 2 address verifications and 2 phone verification for the INFORM Consumer Act. We were told on Thursday & Friday that our account would be back active within 24-48 hours.
Now, I'm being forced to do a 3rd verification and our account is still deactivated pending the verification. I had provided screenshots showing we passed the verification prior to Oct 8, 2024, however there was an issue with the Amazon system.

Case# 16395578541
