Product listing without brand registration
I keep getting the following error message when registering a product.
‘Amazon must approve your brand before you can use it to list products. Brands should be registered through Brand Registry, but if your brand is not eligible for Brand Registry, you can obtain an exception by contacting Seller Support and mentioning error code 5665.’
We do not have any separate US trademarks. That is why it is difficult to register our brand right now. Please let me know if there is any way to register a product without brand registration.

You can list a product with your brand name without brand registry by following the below instructions they gave you:
- Open a case and mention error code 5665. For example:

We are the manufacturer of XYZ. Currently, this brand is not in Brand Registry and we are asking for an exception so that we can list under that Brand Name

The Brand Name is XYZ.
- Attach images of the product and packaging showing branding on either. The images can show the product and packaging held in hand, or placed on a table. The branding must be permanently affixed.
If your product, packaging does not have your brand name on it then you will have to list as generic.
