Cant remove closed/deleted listings from Google Search Results?

I have closed and deleted all of my listings in Seller Central, I am the only seller of my products on Amazon. They still appear in google search results, I've called and tried to get help deleting them about 10 times. They say google should remove them, of course google says it's amazon that needs to remove them. Amazon says they cant do anything about it. I tried deleting using feed template. Nothing works, leadership team cant do anything/doesnt call me. When I tell investors, clinicians, customers and distributor partners we dont sell on Amazon, yet these listing shows up, it makes me look bad and costs me money/business/reputation. Recently had a potential distributor drop off business development activities because they saw them - this is costing me real money.

While the organic Google search results for those old Amazon product pages might drop off within a few weeks or months, if your listings were at all popular you may soon see:

  • Amazon ads and search results that display your trademarks or product names but link to competing products that are still sold on Amazon.
  • Amazon product pages that say your product is “Currently unavailable”, which gives visitors the false impression that your product has been discontinued or that your business has closed.

Because of the enormous search engine dominance Amazon has with Google, it could be nearly impossible to erase the association between your brand and those old Amazon listings. If the reputation impact is significant, the only reliable long-term solution may be to rebrand and sell future products under a different trademark.

Which template did you use? If you originally created the listing, then you should be able to use the inventory loader template with an x in the add/delete column, which will remove all of your contributions to the ASIN. Hopefully that will do the trick
