One of our ASIN's is inactive for a Restricted Policy Violation but the Account Health page and the Product Policy Compliance page does not show any Policy Violations. Does anyone know why this is happening or able to provide any assistance? This is on an item we have been selling for years and is one of our best selling ASIN's. It is stopping us from listing the product for the upcoming Prime Deal Day.
Did you not receive a performance notification?
The explanation is often not in your "account health" directly, but there is almost always a notification in your "performance notifications".
We very recently had this same situation. The PDP was removed but clicking the "Fix" button lead to the Product Policy Compliance page which stated there were no violations.
I opened a case with Seller Support (which I've rarely done in 12 years) and received a reply that stated:
"The reason for your listing to be inactive is either that it is incomplete [which was not true] or that it has not had any active offers within the last 30 days [which also was not true]. In order to activate this listing, relist the product by creating a new product listing on Amazon."
The agent then advised me to relist the item.
Now, like most other sellers I debated whether or not to actually follow this recommendation, knowing that many times Seller Support can give incorrect answers. I eventually decided to follow that advice, the listing is Active and we've received no further communication or violation (fingers crossed).
Whether or not you want to follow that recommendation is up to you and I'm neither advising you for or against doing so. I'm merely relaying my experience.
What I would suggest at this point is for you to open a case with Seller Support, if you haven't already, to see what they recommend for you.
Edit to add: @Seller_TWo4Qrx2gFY0j's suggestion is a good one. In our case, we didn't have a Performance Notification; just the exclamation point in the triangle next to the Restricted Product Policy Violations link on the AH Dashboard. Is that what you're seeing?
We didn't lose any history; all the reviews, ratings and rank were still there. YMMV
Have you found a resolution for this?
I've recently had the exact same problem as well, but there is no "relisting" the product because the ASIN is actually deactivated from the catalog, meaning if you search the ASIN in the add a product tool, is says the ASIN doesn't exist, yet I can still edit the ASIN info fields from my inventory.
Seems they always attack and target your items you have been selling for years.
I am also having the same problem.... sigh
