Introducing Global Warehousing & Distribution — now available in Shenzhen, China
Starting April 9, 2026, you can store your inventory in bulk at a lower cost in our new Global Warehousing & Distribution (GWD) facility in Shenzhen, China, and seamlessly replenish to our US fulfillment network when needed.
By using GWD in Shenzhen, you can:
- Reduce storage costs by up to 45% compared to US Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD).
- Get inventory to US fulfillment centers up to seven days faster when paired with Amazon Global Logistics (AGL).
- Maintain consistently healthy inventory levels through reliable, automated cross-border replenishment.
- Choose your management style of either AI-powered automated replenishment or manual control while we handle the entire cross-border logistics process.
- Streamline your supply chain of shipping, customs clearance, and delivery to our fulfillment centers all through a single, integrated solution.
GWD is the first step in our Next Generation of Global Selling vision — where you list once, bring your inventory to the warehouse at origin, and sell it globally from day one. This vision transforms cross-border commerce: you focus on building your global brand while Amazon handles the operational complexity of reaching customers worldwide.
To get started with GWD today:
- In Seller Central, navigate to Amazon Warehousing and Distribution and select Create Shipment to create your delivery request to our Shenzhen distribution center.
- Follow the prompts, including onboarding to AGL if you haven't used AGL services previously. For more details, visit Amazon Global Logistics.
For more information, go to Global Warehousing and Distribution.
We have updated our Program Policy to reflect this new service. You can view the change announcement and the updated Warehousing and Distribution Program Policy.

Not really global yet. When will shipping be available to other marketplaces besides the US? It would be nice to know so we can plan inventory.
Or if we send inventory now would we be able to send to the UK/EU later on? Or inventory sent now will only be available to send to the US?

What are the fees for using the GWD location in Shenzhen? I can't find any reference on the AWD site pages regarding the fees for storage and handling.

I am writing to inquire about the fee structure and charging details for the GWD (Global Warehousing and Distribution) service. Could you please clarify the following:
How are GWD fees calculated and charged (e.g., storage, inbound/outbound processing, transportation, customs, and other applicable fees)?
What is the pricing unit (per cubic foot, per box, per unit, or monthly)?
Are there any additional fees or surcharges I should be aware of?
Can you share the latest official fee schedule or rate card for GWD?

Wait, what? This is not GLOBAL. This is China --> USA only. No USA seller is going to ship their stuff to China only to have it shipped back later. So, who is this for, then?
What this actually says is "we know we favor Chinese sellers, many of whom have a different cultural sense of rules-following, but are we doing enough for them?" You are announcing an additional reduction in costs for Chinese sellers compared to USA sellers, but trying to put the lipstick of a pro-seller benefit on it (which is insulting, in addition to ineffective). Why do you hate America so much? Who will buy your carp once you've finished gutting the American middle class? We won't be buying premium goods on an Amazon warehouse salary. Fortunately, the platform will be nothing but cheap Chinese garbage by then. Thanks!

Heck Yeah baby baba Amazon you go! Does this mean we can send direct to this location and bypass all regulations? Will Amazon be expanding more in in China as they are world leaders and this is why decline in US based operations? Is this why we were all DD+69ed by Amazon withholding funds for this expansion?

I will never think of DD+7 the same again. Thank-you!
