How to remove countries from an Amazon seller account

We’ve received several inquiries on the Seller Forums from selling partners asking how to remove an international store from their Amazon seller account. And the answer is—you can’t simply remove a country. If you’re using an instance of Seller Central that combines the ability to sell in additional stores/countries and you have ASINs listed in multiple marketplaces, then you’ll see the "country switcher" at the top left of your Seller Central page, which combines the U.S. with Canada and Mexico as a merged (unified) account.

If your account is a U.S. based professional account, you will pay $39.99/month via your main account, which is usually your U.S. account, regardless of how many other country’s stores you sell within North America. For details about fees by country, please see the Professional selling plan subscription fees for merged accounts help topic.

To remove an international store, you must hard delete all ASINs listed for that country. You can’t just zero out your inventory or close the listings—the ASINs must be hard deleted altogether, which will also help you prevent infringement complaints in the countries you want to remove.

Here’s how to hard delete an ASIN/SKU (emphasis mine):

“The Inventory Loader allows sellers to delete SKUs from their inventory records. Deleting SKUs is a different operation from deleting offerings. When SKUs are deleted, item data contributions to Amazon detail pages are removed.

  • Product detail page creation relies on a process in which input from many sellers is reconciled into a composite view. A common product detail page is constructed based on the input of many sellers.
  • Explicit SKU deletion through the Inventory Loader will remove a seller's contributions to the descriptive product attributes that are rendered on product detail pages. This allows sellers to manage the item data associated with specific SKUs.
  • Sellers can delete both their offers and item data contributions by specifying an " x " in the " add-delete" field for Inventory Loader feed submissions. This will completely remove all data associated with the seller's SKU."

This tells how to hard delete items, however does NOT address removing the countries from the account so I am not charged monthly for having the countries added.

Please advise
