Issue with business name mismatch between Amazon USA & Germany – Account Deactivated
Hello everyone,
I am a sole proprietor with a business name that is different from my personal name.
I first started selling on Amazon Germany, and shortly after, I expanded to Amazon USA. When I registered on Amazon Germany, I was informed that sole proprietors must use their personal name as their business name in Seller Central, not their official business name. Because of this, I was advised by Account Health specialists to update my business name in Seller Central to "[Business Name] [Personal Name]" to comply with Amazon Germany's requirements.
This change successfully resolved the issue in Germany, and my account continued to operate normally.
However, after some time, I received a notification from Amazon USA stating that my account was at risk of deactivation due to a mismatch between my business name in Seller Central and my official registered business name.
I reached out to Account Health specialists, but despite countless cases and support requests, my USA account is still deactivated.
If I change my business name in Seller Central to fix the Amazon USA issue, it will create a mismatch in Amazon Germany and cause problems there instead. This means that no matter what I do, my account remains at risk in one of the marketplaces.
I can't be the only seller facing this issue. There must be more European sole proprietors who have encountered this problem when selling on multiple Amazon marketplaces.
- Has anyone found a solution to this issue?
- How can I correctly verify my business across different Amazon marketplaces without risking deactivation?
- Is there a way to resolve this permanently without constantly changing my Seller Central business name?
I’ve been dealing with this issue for a very long time, submitted countless cases, and spoken with multiple Account Health specialists, but unfortunately, nothing has worked so far. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
