Read onlyI saw this back in October and it says beginning November 1. But I have not seen this change to my account. Is this still going to happen and it’s taking longer than expected or is there an issue? I was actually looking forward to the possibility of more transparency in my account.
View your reserved payments in the new Deferred Transactions report.
As part of our Payments based on delivery date policy, we typically reserve your sales proceeds until seven days after an order is delivered. To provide you with more visibility into these funds that we've reserved, we've added a new deferred transactions status on the Payments dashboard. By November 1, your delivery date reserve amounts will display as Deferred transactions in the Total balance box at the top of the Payments dashboard. Until then, they may still display under the account-level reserve field on your Payments dashboard and reports. Note that if you aren't subject to our delivery date policy, your dashboard won't be changed. To view more details, click the deferred transactions balance. The Transaction view page will display the list of orders that make up this balance, the deferral reason, and the estimated payment release date for each order.
Reserve holdbacks and payments effect all sellers. The amount withheld varies from seller to seller, offering price, sales villosity, and the risk Amazon may be held at, if the seller fails to fulfill in some way.
Ours changes as it changes for other sellers, but Amazon has never failed to refund the holdback money.
Hey @Seller_PlOvQOWRnCAVo,
I wanted to surface a little bit of information around this announcement.
A deferred transaction is a transaction that will be paid out to you at a future date. Most transactions are deferred for some period of time before they are paid out. Similar to account level reserves where it’s the amount of money that is reserved to ensure that you have enough funds to fulfill any financial obligations, such as refunds, claims, or chargebacks. You can view a list of your deferred transactions on the Transaction view page. On this page, select "Transaction Status" as Deferred transactions from the dropdown, and click Update to see deferral reasons and the expected payment release date for all deferred transactions. After the payment release date, transaction status will update to Released. Note that only released transactions are included for payout in a settlement period.
