FBA Replenishment Restrictions

We typically try to have 9 weeks of inventory at FBA at any given time. Recently our storage capacity has been greatly reduced (like most sellers from what I understand). In addition to this, Amazon won't let us send certain skus to FBA because they are saying that we already have too many units there. Amazon doesn't know when we are going to run a sale, they don't know what we are going to do for Prime day and I greatly fear that they don't understand the seasonality of our catalog. I know that we can use AWD but we have our own warehouse so it would be like paying twice to have a warehouse send our items to FBA. Is anyone else experiencing this and is there anything we can do to get around it?

We faced this issue with a bunch of SKUs. It was crazy, because we had several items that ran out of stock - with 0 units we were getting the "Low Inventory" warning and it recommended we send more in, but every time we did we got the "excess inventory - cant send units" error.

Turns out its a problem with Amazon's back end. We filed a case on it and they got it fixed in a day.

AWD is a terrible service; they are very unreliable and often times costs are much higher than they originally advertise. Like most Amazon programs they never work as advertised and their is little to no accountability to improve them.

There is something going on with the warehouse storage but as is always the case with Amazon, they are not sharing that information.

I have also ran into the problem of not being able to send in any more items because Amazon is claiming that I have too many units already in the warehouse. And over 90% of the time, the item that I was blocked from sending runs out within 7 days. The other 10% ran out within 14 days. And it takes at least 3 - 4 weeks from when an item leaves my business to when it is sellable online. Perhaps, Amazon should just make this a warning instead of a denial.

They all directly cut inventory, completely disregarding the survival of seasonal product sellers

Its all calculated in a way to cost you more storage fees.
