So today out of nowhere Amazon is showing 90% or more of my orders are at risk of being late using USPS Ground Advantage and therefore removing all protections. Naturally Amazon requires buying $10 shipping instead on a product thats only $9 with free shipping. Is anyone else seeing this issue today? Is it a bug on the Amazon side or is Amazon just using the New shipping policies to void Amazon Buy Shipping protections by over promising shipping estimates then forcing FBM to use shipping methods that would not be economical to force them to buy unprotected shipping services.
I understand in the past the answer was disable SSA and Automated handling and increase handling time. However to get protections you have to have them enabled now so thats not a option.
Same here. Actually came to the forums just to see if anyone else was experiencing this today.
@Seller_QMHY087ZFYGDJ FYI - We don't utilize SSA or automated handling and it's affecting our orders as well. ALSO, what makes you say that with those disabled, you don't get the protections? Unless I misunderstood something in your post, please know that is false. You do not need to utilize either of those automated settings to get the buy shipping protections on eligible services. Those settings do not affect that. If someone told you that, they were either mistaken or just wanted to convince you to enable them.
This is happening to us as well, we have SSA, AHT enabled and use Amazon shipping and we were promised in the July email that we would be protected from late deliveries by carriers. And on top of that we have lost all control of our daily order capacity limits.
I'm not sure what the goal is with Amazon and the total disfunction but as a loyal stock holder, seller and customer I'm not sure how much more I can take before I eliminate Amazon from my life completely.
@Seller_Iq8G0IA7I69uO @Seller_84dRQvGbDDomN @Seller_QMHY087ZFYGDJ and all other sellers asking about "Late Delivery Risk" badges showing for USPS shipping services:
Thank you for raising this issue. Is it still affecting your accounts, or are you seeing USPS options show as OTDR-protected when that service was used to calculate the delivery promise?
I just checked some sample orders and saw USPS options as OTDR-protected, but of course, I am still gathering information to share.
If it is still affecting you, it would be helpful if you can share an Order ID, or a Case ID with details. I am working with our partner team on this issue and it would be helpful to have active order details.

Same here. I had ZERO doubt any shipments made through usps would be late. On most of them. I didn't even have the option to ship any other way on amazon. the last one would have cost 3 bucks more than the actual product. It says if we buy shipping from amazon and ship by the date, are we NOT protected from customers from receiving the packages late? We better be. Thats my impression or it was
Keeps happening. I get an order, I click on "print shipping IMMEDIATELY", but it says "late shipping risk". And Amazon want me to buy $9 shipping for a 3 dollar product. When all I got paid was $5 minus fees, product cost, etc. Yet it somehow makes sense to Amazon. Even though we would think that if any corporation, Amazon would know that selling with a loss is not a reasonable thing to do... :-/
@Seller_QMHY087ZFYGDJ @Seller_Iq8G0IA7I69uO and all sellers asking about Buy Shipping availability. I have been monitoring threads since late last week with sellers reporting USPS shipping options not appearing as expected as OTDR/Claims-protected. I have been sharing and discussing these threads and cases with our partner team.
As we move towards the peak shipping period, estimated shipment transit times are extended to account for heavier volume. This recently occurred for USPS services including Ground Advantage. If you manage your own handling/transit times, keep in mind that transit times were adjusted to account for packages taking longer to deliver this time of year, and check that your settings account for this.
As for sellers using Shipping Settings Automation, I have shared these "mismatch" reports with our partner team. Please let me know if you are seeing these issues for orders that were placed yesterday and today.

Yes, it's happening to a lot of our shipments as well. Also, it has been saying that UPS Surepost is faster than UPS ground, which is nonsense, it's the opposite.
