Today, we'll cover the specific requirements for selling jewelry on Amazon. Since this is a frequently discussed topic in our Forums, we want to provide a clear breakdown of what Amazon expects from jewelry sellers.
To offer products in the jewelry category, you must be a Professional seller and meet the following basic requirements:
* Order-Defect Rate of 1% or less
* Cancellation Rate of 2.5% or less
* Late Shipment Rate of 4% or less

The compliance requirements for selling jewelry is available in the Jewelry & Precious Gems page. Amazon expects sellers to follow several requirements to offer products in the jewelry category. These requirements reflect concern for product quality, product branding, and consumer safety, and ensure that customers can purchase authentic, high-quality Jewelry products with confidence. Sellers should also make sure to follow local and federal import and export regulations.
Amazon only allows approved sellers to offer jewelry made with fine materials (“Fine Jewelry”). Whether a jewelry item is Fine or Fashion is based on the materials the item is made from. For details, see Categorization of Fine vs. Fashion Jewelry. Sellers who wish to sell Fine Jewelry must apply for approval. The approval requirements are available on this page.
Note: Amazon may terminate or suspend any seller’s Fine Jewelry or Fashion Jewelry listing privileges for failing to meet these requirements. Or for any reason at any time by notice to the seller.
