Starting September 30, 2021, we will require all product listings for the Product Types listed in the price per unit requirements table to include the unit_count and unit_count_type attributes, which are used to calculate and display price per unit (PPU).
All new listings, or any updates to existing listings, submitted without unit count information will no longer be accepted after September 30, 2021. This includes all product-level data submissions, whether through excel templates, Seller Central, or feeds.

We are implementing this requirement in order to deliver the best customer experience through a complete, consistent, and accurate PPU information that customers can use to compare and evaluate products during their shopping journey.

How can I get Category Listing Reports to find out which of my ASINs might be impact by this? I no longer see an option to generate the report myself.
Maybe out of topic, but if you have an individual seller account do they charge $1 per piece even 3 items etc are sold as a bundle or will they charge $1x3 since its 3 products in one listing sale…?

How about when Amazon makes new mandatory fields they actually add it the inventory reports (any of them would be nice) so sellers can download & review them.

CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT: new policies are used to filter out which sellers are sufficiently gullible to spend time trying to figure out the new policies and so would be more susceptible to pay for services to comply with said policies.
What about very old listings that were setup a decade ago with a unit count of 1 but are actually a pack of 50 or of a different quantity? This field has been locked for years and I have tried many times to update the information via seller support but always get denied. I don’t want to create an entirely new listing (which is what seller support suggests) because then I would lose the product reviews and organic search rankings. I’ve also attempted creating a new listing and then merging the old and new but get denied because the unit count fields don’t match.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? Will you be unlocking the field on old listings?

If I sell a 1 pound bag of peanuts, I have to weigh a single nut to calculate how many are in the bag, or physically count how many are in the bag, then do the math to figure out the costs of just one peanut?
Is that correct?
Same for a bag of chips or box of cereal?

Should I be asking the grocery store how many square feet of Honey BBQ chips I am getting per bag of Utz?
