Read onlymy sales decreased 90% over the past couple of weeks. I have to ask is anyone else experiencing this. I am a small business and it is hard to predict something like this and my cost is still high. Amazon is suppressing my ranking.
A lot of people started seeing sales decline in November which continued through December into today.
PeoplePeople are cutting back on their spending because of the terrible state of the economy right now and a looming recession.
HopefullyHopefully things we'll pick up when we all get our $5,000 from DOGE LOL
Yup! Its been a huge hit...Hoping to bring some new products that will spark some better sales..Good luck!
I've noticed a significant decline of ~50% over the last few months. I'm at an average of maybe 1000 a day in sales versus 1500-2000 regularly a few months ago. I Don't think its an inventory thing either as i'm still bringing in new inventory. It's been all around slow. Similar inventory a few years ago would be bringing in 2500-3000$ in sales. Seems like there's just a lot more competition on Amazon these days and returns are through the roof.
If your ranking drops, then exclude the reason for the spring, you can check your own place to do or not do what
we are down 50% year over year sure hope that $5,000 check is coming soon LOL

It’s important to understand that not every seller is seeing a decline in sales right now. In fact, some of my clients have experienced significant growth—some even seeing a 200% increase in their sales. So it's definitely not a universal issue, but rather one that requires a closer look at your specific situation.
If you're noticing a drop in performance, there are several factors you should evaluate to identify the root cause. Here are the key areas I recommend auditing:
Market Trends:
Begin by examining the overall market demand for your product. Is it seasonal? Is interest declining? Sometimes a dip is simply due to shifts in buyer behavior or interest.
Listing Optimization:
Make sure your content is up to date and fully optimized. This includes your title, bullet points, description, images, and A+ content. A well-optimized listing can greatly improve conversions and visibility.
Keyword Strategy:
Are you targeting keywords that are currently in demand? Many sellers continue using outdated keywords and miss out on trending search terms, which impacts organic reach.
Organic Rank & Sales:
If you're losing organic rank, it could be due to poor conversions, low traffic, or lack of support from paid campaigns. Keep a close eye on keyword rankings and category performance.
Marketing & Advertising:
Assess your PPC campaigns. Are your bids competitive? Are your campaigns structured efficiently? Ad strategy plays a huge role in driving traffic and boosting visibility.
Competitor Analysis:
Take a look at what your competitors are doing. They might be offering aggressive discounts (20–50%) or running ASIN-targeted ads directly against your products. These tactics can impact your performance if not addressed strategically.
By auditing these areas, you’ll get a better picture of what’s causing the decline. If it turns out that your product is facing strong competition or losing market relevance, there are definitely strategies you can adopt to pivot and regain momentum.
Hope this breakdown helps!
It's a weird time of the year for sales. A few months after the holidays and a couple before summer vacations start. As a BMW dealership, we are slower than average. Hopefully it will pick back up soon.
Hello. I am sorry to hear this but I am not surprised. This issue has been discussed under many headings since last NOVEMBER.
Although we cannot find a definitive answer (or I can say that we have given up looking for it), sales have gradually lost incredible momentum since November 2023. I see that some of our friends still do not understand the issue, or rather have not yet faced it. I understand that they give ordinary superficial answers. However, the problem here is not a normal decline. I have read hundreds of answers on dozens of pages and participated in the discussions. I have observed many things that caused this, but since they are all my own observations, I will not write them here again. In the last process I came, I decreased from 1200 sales to 150 sales. All this happened in just 4 months.
In the years when I first started selling on Amazon, I could never exceed a certain limit at the end of the month. The sales that came one after the other on the first days of the month would somehow stop like a knife when they reached a point. And right now, I feel like I am living that moment. If I make good sales one night, the following weeks my sales decrease to the point of being devastated. I realized that I was being treated like a rookie account. In short, something has changed in Amazon and it is slowly affecting the sellers like smoke. Those who are in turn are experiencing this.
People are dropping Prime accounts and dropping Amazon all together due to politics. There are several Amazon boycotts.it is as simple as that and then there is the economy that has not been made great again, in fact its way worse and people are holding back purchases big time.
I am for sure,
