ABS USPS does not ship to domestic AFB addresses - but Fedex and UPS does??

by Seller_yoBaUhzkFJuPI

Had an order this week for a domestic AFB address.

ABS did NOT list USPS as a shipping option, but listed UPS and Fedex as options. If it matters this is for small bubble mailer 3oz.

Isn't this backwards? I was always under the impression only USPS ships to military. Is it different if it's domestic military?

FWIW, Shipstation showed the regular USPS as an option (NON-ABS), but I hate spending time on INR claims, sooooo 🤷‍♀️

The Amazon bot the determines which addresses USPS does not ship to is wrong quite often.

If, for example, a buyer writes their po box address in the form of post office building address followed by their box number in next line (as in apartment or space number) -- the bot believes that USPS will not deliver to that post office. That form of address is perfectly acceptable to USPS. It's not a trick.

Hi @Seller_yoBaUhzkFJuPI

Dominic from Amazon here, happy to try to help. In these cases you can always go outside of Buy Shipping, as you mentioned in your post. I would also create a case with support and provide that feedback.

Best,

Dominic
