Read onlyThe chances of making sales on Amazon without advertising have become nearly impossible, limiting customers' ability to shop independently. The costs involved in advertising competition are driving up product prices, causing them to drift away from their true value. To test this, I tried listing a product at half its usual price—without ads—that I usually sell with ads, but despite listing it at a loss, I couldn’t make any sales. I’m concerned that, in the long term, this system will lead to negative experiences for both Amazon sellers and customers. Granting every product a fair chance at ranking and visibility would allow for a more equitable shopping experience.
1st, agree with you 100%. 2nd, It's misproportionately PAY TO PLAY now. Bad for the customer.
Hello @Seller_ZAtpqq7anGeTG
Your post shows that you have conducted a cost-benefit analysis of advertising spend vs. organic sales for one of your products. You are right that organic sales have in large part taken a back seat to products enrolled in sponsored advertising. If you are going to continue to advertise, you can create a strategic advertising approach. Optimize your product listings for organic search. I hate to say this, but if you have not done so already, you can diversify sales channels beyond Amazon.
