Since 2018, businesses that participate in FBA in the US have been able to use Remote Fulfillment with FBA to make their US inventory available for sale in Canada and Mexico. This program offers customers increased selection and gives you the opportunity to sell easily outside of the US.
Remote Fulfillment with FBA leverages both US and international fulfillment operations. Over the course of the pandemic, we have made significant investments in these operations to better serve you and our customers.
We’ve nearly doubled fulfillment capacity and added over 750,000 full- and part-time roles, and our average hourly wage in the US has climbed from $15 to $18. These investments have enabled tremendous growth for sellers, who have increased sales in our store by more than 70% during this time.
To reflect the changing costs of fulfillment, transportation, storage, and customer service across North America, we will be adjusting Remote Fulfillment with FBA fulfillment fees on June 30, 2022. These increases are in line with or below industry-average increases for fulfillment services.
We will also include a dimensional weight adjustment in our rate calculations to better align with the standard FBA rate structure.
For more information, go to 2022 Remote Fulfillment with FBA fee changes.
Lets lower those wages back down and not increase our fees.
So does this mean every seller is getting more fees increased AGAIN? Or are they basing it solely off of the size of items sold?
I received an email from Amazon this morning stating I was selected to be auto enrolled for this program starting on July 1st… with option to opt out if I am not interested. My question: Can one opt-in to do remote fulfillment in Canada only and not in Mexico? I guess in my case if I do nothing I assume I would be enroll into both… if I don’t want to do Mexico but wanted to keep Canada do I need to manually opt out of Mexico once I am opted-in? Also my other question is dealing with returns if I can request items returned back to me will the cost be higher? Any suggestions or recommendations from those who tried this program?? Thanks in advance
Dear Amazon, your account is suspended as we have found a similar offering below your price. Please adjust your price accordingly and your account will be unlocked.
My problem with this, is that this automatic opt-in doesn’t have an opt-out on it. This needs to be the same place. The pricing for this program doesn’t make sense for every product and shouldn’t be automatic.
Can anyone provide the direct link to opt out ?
I unmarked Canada and Mexico and saved from the link provided…is this all ?
Since it said auto enrollment - reviewed the program.
Correct me if I am wrong - but being AUTOMATICALLY enrolled - really does bupkis - nothing.
As AFTER, you still need to add your product to the program for MX or CA.
(not send physical product FBA Mx or CA but to online listing)
So if you do not, then you are enrolled, with nothing to sell.
I’m almost tempted to enroll in CAD because I have a few sellers there selling my items at hugely inflated prices.
what about tax? do we have to pay tax to Canada or Mexico? how is it gonna work?
