Does anyone care about fake reviews at amazon? Someone left a fake review on a baby product we just started selling. It is the only review we have so if we had more it would be fine but one review makes a difference. The product is plain MCT Coconut oil. Someone left a review saying it smelled horrible, however the product is completely unscented. It has zero natural smell and no added fragrance. You can't smell anything because their is nothing to smell so we know this is fake and aimed at hurting our brand. The reviewer seems to just go around leaving 1 star reviews on listings. How do we get this resolved and why are these not the issues amazon AI is targeting instead of our product titles etc.

Embarrassing that this is even on an adult forum, but my ex has left a 1 star fake review under a fake account on a product that I just launched. It only had a total of about five reviews before he left his 1 star review so it knocked me down to a 3 star. I've reached out to seller support multiple times and reported it as a fake review (even the account is fake that it is being reviewed from). By Amazon's "standards" it is a verified purchase and he is reviewing the product so according to this general "standard" they are considering it a valid review. They have refused to look at anything further. I am so frustrated and my next step is filing a police report and legally pursuing for defamation. I also had a previous customer copy my product after he offered to buy my business (to which I declined) and copy pasted my description! Ever since I made contact with that customer, I've had an uptick in negative reviews and even had a violation reported for the first time since I started selling five years ago. A little coincidental if you ask me. If I can't get them to investigate further on my behalf when they are taking 35% of my profits, it may be time for a hard pivot. Anybody have any advice? Amazon ties the hands of their sellers in my opinion.

Since April 22nd, my listing has been targeted by buyers leaving intentional negative reviews. Amazon has removed most of the negative reviews, but some fake reviews still remain.

When I contacted the buyer who left a negative review, I found that the buyer's name was "JIAOXIONG", which is a very rare name. This caught my attention.

This buyer purchased my bedsheets (2 pack) on April 4th and left a negative review.

After 2 weeks, this buyer purchased another bedsheets (1 pack) again and left a negative review.

This buyer is very cunning. He used two buyer accounts to purchase products of different packaging sizes from me. After receiving the goods, he left a negative review a few days later, making Amazon mistakenly believe that his review was authentic. This way, his review would not be deleted.

If it were a genuine buyer, they would not purchase my product again if they felt it was not good. They are only buying it again to leave a negative review on my product.

I have reported fake reviews to Amazon, but it has not had any effect
