Challenges and Delays in Resolving Dangerous Goods Classification

Hello fellow sellers,

Since amazon seller support has provided ZERO help, I'm now reaching out to the community for some guidance and to share experiences regarding the reclassification process for products mistakenly classified as dangerous goods.

We've been facing ongoing challenges with the classification of one of our ASINs, which was incorrectly tagged as a dangerous good. After realizing the error, we promptly removed an additional "addon" component from our product to comply fully with safety standards and eliminate any hazardous categorization. Despite these adjustments, the process to clear the dangerous goods classification is still underway and has been taking much longer than anticipated.

Has anyone else experienced similar delays in the reclassification process? If so, how long did it take for your issue to be resolved, and what steps did you find most effective in expediting the review?

Additionally, since we've been unable to get this request through—we figured ok we have to continue selling but we've encountered requests to increase our dangerous goods storage limit due to this classification. If you've gone through this, how did you manage the request for increase in storage for dangerous goods, and what was the outcome? Amazon Seller Support acts like they don't even know what a dangerous good is, they responded saying "oh you can request it in capacity manager" (which is not possible for dangerous goods) it's like Amazon seller support doesn't even look into what they respond to a case with, very frustrating.

Any insights, tips, or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated as we navigate this process. Looking forward to hearing from the community!
