NEW SELLER PAGE & BUYING SHIPPING WEIGHT ISSUES
Two orders today....new seller page doesnt have a box to add weight of package to buy postage....I could buy shipping by clicking and hoping I do it right but no box to show weights...called seller support. I finally figured it the shipping option works on the old home page under orders if you can find it. Are you having trouble too? New Seller pages have way too much unnecessary information that I would like to delete away, as most of it have nothing to do with my business.

The statement is not worded quite right. When on the professional plan, you can set the weights for your own shipments. If on the individual plan, you have to take the shipping of $3.99 Amazon displays to the buyer.
In the mail order business, the buyer ALWAYS pays for the shipping. Now what that means to the seller is this. It's your responsibility to know the shipping cost of your Packaged Product to every address in the USA BEFORE you determine the listing price. If you don't do this, you will always lose money.
Now with that said...
1. Determine your actual shipping cost: Pick the furthest zip code away from your shipping zip code. That is your shipping cost. Use the amount even if the item is shipped across the street.
2. Don't think that by picking a low-cost shipping method, you will save any money. You won't.
3. Select your preferred shipping method: There is a difference.
- When buying shipping on Amazon, Amazon does handle the INR claims and scams buyer's play on sellers. This is actually a free benefit that other shipping don't offer. And since the buyer always pays for the shipping, it is worth it.
4. Display shipping cost to buyer or offer free shipping.
It does make a difference how the shipping is displayed to the buyer, and the choice it up to you.
- Free shipping: the cost is added into the product price. On Amazon returns, you cannot file a claim for outward shipping because the buyer didn't pay any.
- Display the actual shipping cost. On some returns, you are allowed to deduct this shipping cost from the refund.
- Split the shipping. Offer $2.00 shipping and add the rest of the cost in the product price.
- Don't think the shipping price Amazon Automatically displays to the buyer has any relationship to the actual shipping cost. It Doesn't. Make your shipping price fit into the amount displayed.
5. Weight of the shipped item. Just make sure your item is weighted correctly with the packing. it the item is overweight with the shipped, they either will not accept it or send it back to you.
6. Professional Account vs Individual Account:
- With the professional account, you can set up your own template for shipping.
- With Individual Account you have to use the Amazon displayed shipping amount and add the rest of the shipping into your product price.

Hello @Seller_ywc4Mu1IGbgcK. I have not seen other sellers reporting new issues with the Buy Shipping process.
Can you provide more details or a screenshot (with personal details blocked).

new seller central page for buying shipping not working to add weight for buying...old central page works fine. I think you misunderstood.
Hello @Seller_ywc4Mu1IGbgcK I tested the Manage Orders process both in the new/old Seller Central experience and did not see an issue entering shipment weights, either individually or in bulk.
Of course, my experience may not match that of yours and other sellers. If you can share a Case ID, screenshot, or other details I can investigate further.
