Hello Everyone,
As of today, my seller account has been unfairly suspended for about 4 months due to a "section 3" violation. Even though I have submitted all the documents Amazon requested, they keep sending the same generic response: "We received your submission but do not have enough information to reactivate your account."
For over 2 years, I have been a Retail and Online Arbitrage seller on Amazon, conducting business honestly and fully complying with Amazon's rules. I have never sold counterfeit products; I sourced all my products either directly from the brand itself or from its authorized sellers. In return, Amazon has destroyed my business!
They have seized all my inventory, kept my account deactivated for 4 months, and on top of that, they are charging me the highest storage fees every month because some of the items in my inventory have now been categorized as "aged inventory."
Please don’t tell me that I need to obtain an LOA (Letter of Authorization) from the brand or that it’s normal for Amazon to close my account if I don’t have one. Amazon itself explicitly states that I can submit either the invoice for the product or an LOA from the brand if available.
The product that caused my account suspension was sourced directly from the brand's own website. Despite providing the brand’s official invoice and my credit card payment statements, Amazon claims that this is insufficient. There hasn’t been a single complaint from any customer or even from the brand itself. Moreover, there are currently 20 other sellers listing the same product now.
Honestly, I don’t know what else I can do. I invested in my business, sourcing my products properly, trusting that Amazon was a reliable platform. But Amazon has destroyed both my business and my motivation!
To be honest, I’m starting to think that Amazon discriminates against sellers from certain countries or nationalities. Or perhaps they lack employees who are competent enough to review the submitted documents properly. But what is the fault of those of us who are trying to conduct business in the right way?

I have submitted the required documents that Amazon asked for several times, as shown below ;

I thoroughly educated myself about Amazon’s rules and I am completely sure that we have not engaged in any activities that violate Amazon's rules, either on our account or in our business. Being a third party reseller is one of the legal way to do business on Amazon as a seller, as long as you prove the authenticity of your products with legal invoices from brand or proper supply chain or with LOA from brand.
I really need assistance of Amazon's Community Manager here to escalate our situation so as to resolve misunderstanding and consequently reactivate our seller account.

Websites tend to provide retail receipts, not invoices, and thus are not accepted by Amazon.
I recommend reviewing Amazon's recommended sourcing and invoice requirements in Seller University. This is a free resource found in Seller Central.
"Please don’t tell me that I need to obtain an LOA (Letter of Authorization) from the brand or that it’s normal for Amazon to close my account if I don’t have one. Amazon itself explicitly states that I can submit either the invoice for the product or an LOA from the brand if available."
This is where you are WRONG. If the BRAND does not authorize you as a legal distributor with a letter of authorization of their BRAND, then NO you cannot sell that BRAND on Amazon.
This is not about RACE or Nationality so don't even go there!
Receipts are not invoices. RA and OA are not accepted business practices any longer on Amazon. If you do not have a relationship with the brand, the, no you cannot sell their product. More and more brands want business relationships and buying from their website doesn't give you invoices or create a business relationship.
You have destroyed your own business and they don't discriminate nationalities, they cancel sellers that cannot provide valid and legitimate documentation when asked.
I think you are confusing buying products from the brand's website as the brand giving you permission to sell the product, which is not the case. You cannot buy a product from a brand (even through their website) and resell it as if it is new and properly sourced. It isn't. The brand has not given you permission to sell their product therefore you have violated Amazon's policy. Unfortunately, the reality is the only way to be able to sell that brand's product is through obtaining an LOA. Even finding a trusted distributer is a slippery slope on Amazon as many "trusted distributers" are not approved by the brand either.
No, they discriminate against sellers who don't follow the rules. Heck, it isn't even discrimination, it's just enforcement of policy that you agreed to when you signed the Amazon Business solutions agreement when you became a seller.
Perhaps there is a race or nationality thing of where certain races or nationalities decide to circumvent rules to make a quick buck? That's a recurring trend that I am starting to see on here.
And therein lies your problem.
Doesn't matter what others are doing; be concerned with what YOU are doing.
You seem to know what you've done wrong (with your statement of "don't tell me what I need" above), but instead want to go into some sort of victim/persecution mentality. I can assure you that Amazon does not take nationality into account when verifying authenticity complaints.
But since you admit right up front that you don't source properly, that doesn't include you.
Dear Friends,
Thank you all for your replies. I would also like to provide some explanation as per the answers you have given.
1- No, the document I submitted to Amazon is not a receipt but an invoice that includes invoice numbers, tax numbers, and supplier information.
2- Yes, obtaining an LOA (Letter of Authorization) from the brand is the most accurate and reliable way. However, Amazon does not explicitly state this in its rules—at least, I didn’t see it explicitly mentioned back when I started this business. Amazon says you need to prove the authenticity of the product you are selling with an invoice and supply chain documentation.
Moreover, this issue does not arise for products procured directly from Amazon in a specific quantity. In such cases, are we essentially obtaining direct approval from the brand itself? When my account was suspended, Amazon asked me for either the LOA document I received from the brand or a proper invoice. I hope I’m making myself clear.
3- No, my intention is not to do that. I have always tried to conduct my business professionally by reviewing and following the rules. But after everything that has happened, I can’t think of anything else.
Well there's your problem right there.
Oh stop. No one is falling for this junk anymore.
I totally understand how you feel. My account has just been suspended by Amazon for almost a month, and I haven't received my funds and inventory. When I started selling on Amazon, I saw that the policy it provides to sellers is to deactivate the account after a certain number of violations. Now it has unilaterally determined that I have violated the intellectual property copyright without any evidence, which is my first time. It also did not follow the infringement policy it provides to sellers, so it sentenced me to death. I also suffered significant monetary losses. Now I plan to give up Amazon. I started doing business with Amazon because I personally believed that it should be fair and trustworthy, but I was too naïve. Amazon is completely different from what I understand. There is no credit, no fairness. Now I have no choice but to find a new job as soon as possible, and I plan to deal with Amazon's follow-up and leave the platform forever. I am too disappointed with it and have no interest in being its sales partner. I asked Amazon to terminate the cooperation according to Agreement 3, but they ignored me. But this can't stop me from leaving. What is the author's situation now? I plan to go the arbitration route. If I can't get my funds and inventory back, Amazon can block my account at will, but the funds and inventory must be returned. [Moderator Edit: removed personal information] Let’s communicate and protect our rights together!
-In the real world a "receipt" and "invoice" is the same thing. Amazon has decided the last few years to change the meanings and play semantics.
-Amazon has chosen not to tell sellers they need a LOA, even though that it their "policy by practice" which does not match their "written policy."
-Knowing this, Amazon has chosen to allow you to sell these items, and has profited off of these sales. They now also profit off of your inventory seized and any monies owed to you.
All in all, it's arbitration time.

I thoroughly educated myself about Amazon’s rules and I am completely sure that we have not engaged in any activities that violate Amazon's rules, either on our account or in our business.
