FedEx Adjustments $30,000+
Hi,
We've been shipping boxes through USPS/FedEx and UPS for over 10 years. Suddenly in January 100 or so of our packages got hit with FedEx adjustments.
We calibrate and log our scales every week.
We have a third party package collection company that verifies our weights and measurements.
We use automated filling machines to package our products.
Once we spotted this adjustment fee we checked every package in our WH and verified our numbers are accurate.
I have over 100 order IDs. This is absolutely devastating to our small business. MODs - I've reached out to Seller Support and only get boiler plate replies. I need help desperately. We can't afford to keep the doors open with this loss. Can I send a MOD the order IDs to take a look?

Fedex has been doing those after delivery price adjustments on other platforms as well. It frustrating.

$30,000+ in adjustments for 100+ order IDs? Am I understanding that right, $300 adjustment per order? What are the sizes of the shipments, and how far off did Fedex claim you were?
For $30,000+ I would be looking at legal remedies. Where did you purchase the shipping, and what does the contract say about such disputes?

Here is our list. Yes, average adjustment is $200-300 range. There's 156 here now. The pain should stop this week as we keep getting dinged from over a month ago. We ship packages 49.5 lbs. Their claim is they hit 50.001 lbs and so there for a $25 dollar label becomes $300
MODs - please help. Seller Support can't help with this. Is there a way to reach FedEx?

Hello @Seller_pmUw7e4ehjNj4 Thank you for sharing those Order IDs. I see that you received multiple large adjustment debits, and I reviewed the details and can share some information and possible next steps.
FedEx shipping services and restrictions
The packages I checked were shipped using FedEx One Rate shipping service which has strict maximum package thresholds of 50 pounds and 2200 cubic inches. If a label was purchased with package dimensions equal to or under 50 pounds and/or 2200 cubic inches, but the carrier audit shows the package exceeds those limits, the package no longer qualifies for One Rate and a different service with higher rate may be applied.
Carrier shipping correction charges are caused by differences between the information used to purchase the shipping label and the package information based on carrier audits.
I understand that you are disputing the carrier-audited weight for these shipments. Seller disputes of Buy Shipping adjustments must be filed through seller support and not directly with the carrier. I recommend being specific about the orders and adjustment details you are disputing, and including product info and/or photos that support the dispute claims.
I reviewed the details for several of the Order IDs you posted. All of the orders I checked were for items with title and product details showing an item weight of 50 pounds. Adding product and/or shipping packaging has the shipments exceeding the 50 pound limit. Based on this information I do not have a path to dispute the adjustments, but if you share Case IDs, I can review the details and investigate further.
