Product in Stranded Inventory that does not belong to us

There is one ASIN that Amazon repeatedly attributes to our Stranded Inventory but the ASIN does not belong to us. It is not our merchandise and we do not have a listing for this ASIN. I have entered numerous Seller Support cases regarding this. The ASIN keeps ending up in our Stranded Inventory and is sent back to us if I don't catch it in time. How can we stop this ASIN from being attributed to our stranded inventory? I can provide Case #.

"The ASIN keeps ending up in our Stranded Inventory"

This could be a situation that can only happen on Amazon. Go into your archives of messages about that particular ASIN.

I know you said it's not yours, but follow along for how this could happen.

Back in the old days Amazon would send us all notices if changes were going to be made to an ASIN. They STOPPED doing that about the same time that Bezos opened the US site for all the offshore sellers.

As a result, we are no longer told when some hijacker has totally changed the item to a different brand.

By checking the ASIN history in your emails you can see IF it was originally one of your products but you WON'T see that some jerk altered it to what you are now getting as stranded inventory.

I have one where the messages show that I created it under brand x, and had replied to a number of 'change notifications' over the years.

The final message was that I had an IP violation for a brand that I have nothing to do with. YUP, someone had completely taken over the ASIN and changed it to products in an entirely different category.

See if you had the same issue.

Only on Amazon and only because they don't give a tinkers dam about hijackers.

Hi @Seller_R0SXS0gMCVARy, this is strange! I see NEVERLAST has provided some perspective.. I can definitely take a look at your cases and do some research for you. What is that case ID?
