Read onlyHow do I stop Amazon from comparing my prices with counterfeit prices? I only sell genuine factory products but Amazon compares my prices with counterfeit sellers, what can be done?
Amazon drop my listings but leaves the counterfeits, unfortunately Amazon collaborates with deceiving their customers, a clear example ASIN B00K5XH4TM the title says “Genuine Mercedes-Benz Keyless Go Ignition Button” these sellers change the lenguaje of the brand to the “Japanese” language that is Mercedes Benz, this seller is not an authorized dealer for the brand, how do I know? because I am in contact with the brand and I have access to that information.
Finally Amazon benefits counterfeit sellers and takes out the authorized sellers and puts them aside to benefit counterfeit sellers, this is not new and I write it here because Amazon now in this new forum likes that we expose our problems in front of everyone, to each of the customers who buy this product Amazon should refund every penny.
To give you an idea, the dealer cost of this product is $39.55, MSRP is $68, this genuine product has the brand logo stamped on the side next to the part number, this counterfeit does not, yet Amazon customers buy it as a “Genuine” product as the title suggests, it sells for $9.99 and has been for months. $9.99 not even the brand itself has this manufacturing cost and has been like this for months, Amazon gives the buy box to the seller “XINYUBAIHUOSHANGHANG” who is NOT authorized, is it that I dedicate myself to expose these cases in the forum? I have plenty
On Amazon there are supposedly no counterfeit products for sale.... did you report these violations?
Unfortunately counterfeit and fake products have become quite rampant and common on Amazon. We have sellers within brand listings selling fakes with plenty of negative clear feedback on the sellers' feedback pages proving it, yet Amazon gives them the Buy Box and allows them to continue to sell mostly because they are Chinese based sellers and have priority over American sellers. It is a complete $hi! show.
Amazon is very broken right now and not looking good for 3P American resellers. We have moved our focus to other platforms hoping that they will acknowledge and fix these major issues before it is too late and Amazon loses all credibility.
In the past, sellers have mentioned success with buying the customer's product and initiating a return, making sure to mention certain key words in the return comments like "inauthentic", "fake", etc.
From there it depends on if the seller can fake a manufacturer invoice.
Hi @Seller_yKsH1VcZkLlOV,
I understand that you are frustrated by sellers selling items that are incorrectly branded. You can report those sellers through the Report a Violation tool and they will be investigated. I would ensure that you comment that they put the brand name in Japanese so the system doesn't recognize that they are selling products under that brand. They will not share the outcome with you due to confidentiality reasons, however, if you do not see any changes within 10 business days, provide the complaint ID so I can investigate further. As @Seller_gjMpCOuIyMglk has stated, doing a test buy and reporting it that way as well is helpful. You can then report through your customer and your seller accounts.
I hope this is helpful!
