Countries
Read onlyHi Everyone,
I’m encountering an issue with my private label product, which I exclusively manufacture and sell on Amazon. I’ve enrolled in Amazon’s Brand Registry and am the only authorized seller for my product. Recently, I discovered that there are multiple third-party sellers listing my product in the Canadian marketplace. I’m enrolled in the Amazon Remote Fulfillment program for Canada, but these unauthorized listings are causing concerns for me, as I am the only supplier of this product.
Here’s the problem: While I know these listings should not exist (since I’m the only manufacturer), I’m currently unable to purchase the product from these sellers to prove that it’s not my product, because I’m based in the US and cannot have it shipped to my address in the US.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation where unauthorized listings appear in a country you don’t live in, and what steps did you take to resolve it? I’ve already reported the issue to Amazon, but I’d love to know if there’s a way to either block these sellers or get them removed without the need for a direct purchase.
Any advice or insights from others who have faced this situation would be greatly appreciated!
If there isn't much I can do would simply de-enrolling from Canada be best?
Thanks in advance.
You'd have to have an approved Canadian Trademark, and do a test buy to see if the item is counterfeit.
Hello @Seller_r1rLk8AJZtRN8,
My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I am happy to assist wherever I can.
Are the ASINs from the CA store the same ASIN as what you are selling in the US store or was a new ASIN created and they are using all the same images/bullet points etc. from your US listing?
Since Amazon does not enforce exclusive distribution rights except within the countries that have laws specifically referring to selective or exclusive distribution, let's focus on the listings themselves and identify if they are violating any of your Intellectual Property. Do you have a TM registered in Canada by any chance?
Generally speaking, completing a test buy is ideal as this allows you to speak to the specifics of either abuse of Amazon Policy or Intellectual Property violations.
Do you have any cases opened currently on this where I can pull some additional detail?
Best, Dougal
