can i used walmart to get ungated in pokemon or star wars
You are not going to be ungated for those.
Here's the proper process: contact the brand for written permission to sell on Amazon. Find out from the brand who are the authorized distributors.
This won't be happening for those brands.
And no -- you cannot get ungated with retail receipts. Only genuine wholesale purchases.
Ungating just means you are able to list on Amazon. Does not give you the right to sell something as new.
Sellers have been wrongly and mysteriously "ungated" for brands that do NOT want their brand on Amazon so seller subsequently loses their goods (if FBA), their funds, and their selling account.
Short answer: NO.
Longer answer: Don't do anything until you've gone through Seller U, and spent AT LEAST a full week reading the forums. Pay special attention to any threads mentioning "Deactivated", "Section 3", or "Asking for invoices".
Then ask questions BEFORE you get into trouble doing something foolish like trying to sell Star Wars or Nike.
For now. Meaning until Nike discovers your listings.
This quote is taken directly from the Nike Services Agreement. Google it if you want to read the entire document.
If your Nikes are in an Amazon facility, you might think about removing them while you still can and before Amazon confiscates them.
Well, count on getting your account suspended; might be tomorrow, might take a couple of months, but if you have listed any Nike, it's gonna happen.. You aren't authorized by Nike to sell their products here; as soon as they file a complaint, you will have no recourse.
If you have inventory in FBA, I would suggest recalling it now, because as soon as your IP complaint comes in from Nike, all of your funds and any inventory in FBA will be frozen.
You might want to search the forum for Nike to prepare yourself.
Since you won't be selling on Amazon for much longer, I would worry about what to do next, rather than worrying about building your business here. But next time, make sure you understand the rules before jumping in the deep end.
Hello @Seller_FaTgCVGdm3FgY,
Michelle at Amazon here. Walmart receipts are not accepted. The other sellers on this thread have given you some great information. You may also want to read this thread about sourcing our inventory.
Regards,
Michelle
Okay, fine. Don't understand the rules.
But then don't complain when you get in trouble for not following them. And no, Nike didn't just start not authorizing sellers to sell on Amazon; IIRC, it was about 2018 that Nike announced that they would control all their online sales. If you've been selling Nike, you were NOT getting them from an authorized source.
It's not that Nike just started doing anything; it's that Amazon is finally getting around to stopping people from selling Nike BEFORE Nike files a complaint. If you are just gated on Nike, count yourself lucky that Amazon gated you before Nike complained (although that could still happen). If Nike filed a complaint, you would be done. Period.
And no, telling you that is not rude.
