Amazon lost 5,076 units of my inventory, and they will not try to find it
Hello all,
One of my big shipments was delivered to an Amazon warehouse on 6/1/24.
Since then the shipment hasn't been checked in, and it's still in 'delivered' status.
My item has been out of stock for over a month, and I missed all the sales from Prime Day event.
I opened multiple cases about this and confirmed that the investigation can start on 7/17/24.
Today is 7/17/24, and I tried to start an investigation request,
but now Amazon is saying that the shipment is not eligible for investigation until 8/1/24.
I feel like Amazon will keep delaying this 'investigation' for my 'lost units' and will not try to find it or reimburse me.
It's getting too hard to run a business on the Amazon platform.

You just have to wait until the shipment is eligible for reconciliation. It sucks because you could of turned over all that inventory within 2 months. The good news is that you should be able to get reimbursed for everything provided you have invoices, BOL (for non amazon partnered LTL shipments)/proof of deliveries, or packing slips (for products you manufacture yourself.

Nothing new. Everytime a date comes up to investigate they change it and push it forward. It will keep happening until you actually call and talk to someone. Even after that its rare the items will be found. I have lost over 250 items this year (before 2024 I never had any issues). That said even after talking to someone I got nowhere (go figure). I have found a few shipments suddenly show up in my inventory 4-6 months later, which is interesting. I also thought this might have had something to do with a 3rd party uploading program I tried out this year called Inventory Lab. What a horrible system. I heard it used to be great until 3 Colts bought it. I have since went back to my old uploading program and I am overall pretty happy again.

Well Amazon lost some of my products and I have been reimbursed for some of them.
Amazon has a site where you can buy returned or other items. I feel that is where all the missing items goes ,LOL

You will then need to show proof of life as your shipment is held hostage. You will need to supply invoices for every item and if 1 invoice does not meet Amazon requirements they take entire shipment good luck.

I had a similar issue once. Sent via UPS. Tracking showed "out for delivery", but never made it to delivered status. Amazon kept goal post moving until it had been 6 months. UPS doesn't keep tracking information longer than 6 months. By the time they did investigate, they "didn't have any records". Suuuuuuure.
If I didn't keep all receipts of all kinds like a madman, I'd have lost thousands. I was able to prove shipment and get reimbursed because I kept my dropoff receipt from UPS.
Not sure if this helps, but maybe it'll help someone.

That is exactly what happened to me. My shipment was lost last November. Then reconciliation was postponed 4 times, just like in your case. And then the case was closed because of inactivity. I received no compensation or resolution.
I am sorry to hear that it's happening to you, but it looks like this is very common these days.

There is little you can do. Amazon has lost my shipment and they changed the date for eligibility to investigate 2 or 3 times. It has been over a month since I opened the investigation and I still have not seen a dime. They asked for invoices of the items lost, so I sent them. They then asked for invoices of certain ASINs for the quantity that I have sent in, in the last year. I wonder if it is a delaying tactic.
I opened multiple cases and wrote to Twitter (X) support - it was all a waste of time.

Bingo. It's not going to get better.
