Sales Decline / Historically Low Sale Before & After Prime Day 2024

Hello Amazon Seller Community,

Are we all experiencing dramatic sales decline and historically low sales, especially 4~5 days after Prime Day 2024. or it is just us?

In the meantime, the Ad spend is down about 10~20% only, which means higher ACoS compared to last year, last month, and last week.

I wonder if it is normal for all sellers..

Wish to hear your sincere opinions please.

Hi, yes I am experiencing the same issue. Losing my hard earned rankings rather quickly and that hurts much more than the decline in sales post prime days.

I am also experiencing the same issue even though I use ads, coupons and Prime Exclusive discounts.

A similar story here unfortunately, sales just seem to vanish into thin air… hoping it’s temporary

YES 60% DOWN this last week both platforms are dead think its more a crowdstrike issue and the fact that every platform went to ai systems that are not working.

It is same for us. We have ended replenishing our private label products because of slow sales and high advertising cost. Didn't even participate in Prime Day sales

I think Amazon has more issues than we are privy to.

No, my sales have been strong since prime day. I would say perhaps you need to find more in demand listings. This is one of the best times of the year to sell.

Hello @Seller_YFJJcGVtrLwe3- and thanks for starting this discussion.

We will see many customers place bigger orders, often from their Wish Lists, around Prime Day. After making these purchases, we do typically see a temporary lull as customers plan for their next purchases.

In general, moving past Prime Day, sales will generally start to increase, especially around events like back to school and into the early holidays.

To prepare, we recommend increasing marketing for popular product categories over the next 6-8 weeks. Highlighting fast shipping and competitive prices will help drive sales as shopping activity picks up again.

Here's a list of back to school prepatory tips from the team that might prove useful, but thank you all very much for sharing this feedback with us here on the forums.

TEMU has U.S.-based warehouses now on both coasts. They can now deliver products within 3-5 days, whereas it used to take 14-15 days. This new delvelopment is all over social media.
