An update that came to our attention, thanks to our sellers asking for assistance in the forums, was about the new deadline requesting Country of Origin Information. If you haven’t seen the Performance Notification already, sellers are being notified to provide Country of Origin information on all their offers by December 31, 2024. This is to ensure products are meeting regulatory requirements when exporting to either non-European Union (EU) countries or territories into the EU, or From EU and non-EU countries or territories into the UK.
What is Country of Origin (COO for short)?
The COO of a product is generally the country where the product was wholly produced or manufactured. If more than one country is involved in the product’s production or manufacture, the COO is generally where the last "substantial transformation" of the product occurred.
Providing COO information is a mandatory requirement for FBA listings. If you believe that you must not be required to provide the COO information for your listings, contact Selling Partner Support to check on your eligibility.
Not providing COO information for your product has the following impact on your FBA listings:
How do I find my COO information?
If you do not know the Country of Origin for your listings, you must contact your supplier who should be able to provide you with this information.
