Customer Rip Off
We sell religious-picture 8 inch tall pillar candles through FBA. We expect that buying via the internet, some customers will want to return the product after they receive it when they see exactly what it is. Price of selling this type of product. While annoyed, we accept it's gonna happen.
But . . .
We have one customer who is abusing the FBA sequence. Her initials are Tf. She buys a candle and then quickly returns it for a full refund - we even get stuck for the return shipping. She has done it 43 times over the last 90 days. But the scam is that she has purchased plain (no picture) candles from a dollar store and puts the cheap fake in the return box. Since the returned candle seems perfect, Amazon sometimes put them back in inventory - to be shipped to the next purchaser. Obviously, we get unhappy customers.
Alternately ('cuz Amazon noticed the fake?), Amazon returns the perfect fake product to us. That is how we became aware of the scam (robbery).
We have raised the issue to Amazon. They don't support us. For the candles that finally get back to us, the support people think *we* are doing the scam. They want pictures of the Amazon return box - unopened! - even though we won't know it's her return before opening. They then want pictures of the item return label. They want multiple pictures if the return item. They want multiple pictures of the original order item. They then try to give us a trivial amount refund until we complain.
On the complaint to Amazon, they replied they did something but won't tell us 'cuz of privacy. Great!
Unfortunately, we just today got back two more fake returns from Tf.
Can anyone help us stop this thievery?
